Data Scientist

Juniper's AI-driven enterprise team's mission is to solve difficult problems in networking for the benefit of society.

The Data Science team delivers machine learning solutions that can predict and explain our customers' experience. The Senior Data Scientist will be a technical leader and mentor of the Data Science team. Specific areas of opportunity include working with large unstructured and structured data sets and applying machine/deep learning techniques for a variety of modeling and relevance problems, including predicting network performance, detecting network anomalies and apply NLP methods to understand and respond to customer's questions.

The successful candidate will lead cutting-edge research and apply state-of-the-art techniques, analytical and problem-solving abilities in support of creative scientific projects for significant business impact in a collaborative environment.

Minimum Requirements & Skills:

• Masters in Data Science, Statistics, or a related discipline with a focus on data analysis and statistical modeling.
• 6-8 years of experience in predictive modeling or NLP machine learning models.
• Ability to learn new analytical methods and apply them to practical business problems.
• Experience in working with SKLearn, Tensorflow, PyTorch, Huggingface and/or LLM models.
• Expertise in Python & Spark.
• Proven ability to develop analytical and predictive models in a production environment.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Minimum Salary: $140,800.00

Maximum Salary:$202,400.00

The pay range for this position is expected to be between $140,800.00 and $202,400.00/year; however, the base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position also includes medical benefits, 401(k) eligibility, vacation, sick time, and parental leave. Additional details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.

If hired, employee will be in an “at-will position” and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.

Juniper’s pay range data is provided in accordance with local state pay transparency regulations. Juniper may post different minimum wage ranges for permanent residency petitions pursuant to US Department of Labor requirements.
