Assists with identification, reporting, validation and resolution of data necessary to support Value Analysis teams; compares GPO contract opportunities; calculates the financial impact of vendor proposals; benchmarks proposed item prices to national databases; and supports leadership to determine the impact of changes in product utilization and physician practice changes.
Reviews PeopleSoft system on an ongoing basis and effectively mines data to suggest opportunities for supply cost savings and the financial impact of each possible strategy. Manages and maintains the MM item master to facilitate EDI transmissions, consistently updates UOM and packaging, creates new item builds and conducts pricing loader files.
Demonstrates expertise by calculating product utilization and pricing for efficiency and accuracy to implement strategies to support specific operation of the departments. Implements specific short-term goals related to the achievement of financial business objectives as a core competence. Demonstrates knowledge of all equipment and systems/technology necessary to complete duties and responsibilities, which includes providing end-user business support of product lines related to assigned business/clinical areas. Compiles and reports hospital-wide statistics and documentation required to support UFHCF measurements for Materials Management. Delivers excellent customer service by providing information/education for decision making, purchasing and general project support. Develops and utilizes sound system and report audit processes to validate all clinical, statistical and financial information. Develops and generates reports, charts, PowerPoints and presentations as requested. Actively participates in team development, achieving dashboards and accomplishing department goals and objectives. Actively collaborates with management team and purchasing staff to achieve the department goals. Manages product recall process from beginning to end and provides monthly reporting.
