Production Technician & Engineer

We seek a versatile Production Technician & Engineer to support both hands-on manufacturing operations and process optimization. The ideal candidate will blend technical expertise in machinery maintenance with engineering skills to improve production efficiency, troubleshoot systems, and drive continuous improvement initiatives. A proactive problem-solver with a collaborative mindset will thrive in this dual-role position.

Key Responsibilities:

Production Technician Duties:

• Operate and maintain machinery, including:

– SMT (Surface-Mount Technology) automatic production lines

– Wave soldering and conformal coating production lines

• Perform routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs (electrical/mechanical) to minimize downtime.

• Adhere to safety protocols and quality standards during daily operations.

• Collaborating with and mentoring the production team to achieve output targets.

Production Engineer Duties:

• Analyze production data to identify bottlenecks and propose efficiency improvements (e.g., cycle time reduction, waste minimization).

• Design and implement process upgrades (e.g., automation, tooling modifications).

• Create and update technical documentation (e.g., SOPs, maintenance schedules).

• Lead root-cause analysis for equipment failures and quality issues.

• Support new product introductions (NPI) by optimizing workflows and validating equipment.

Qualifications:

• Technician Requirements:

– 2+ years of hands-on experience operating/maintaining electronics manufacturing equipment.

– Proficiency in electrical systems, mechanical repairs, and industrial software.

• Engineer Requirements:

– Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical/Electrical/Industrial Engineering or related field.

– 1+ years of experience in process improvement, Lean Six Sigma, or CAD/CAM tools (e.g., SolidWorks).

• Shared Skills:

– Strong problem-solving, teamwork, and communication skills.

– Adaptability to switch between tactical tasks and strategic projects.

Preferred Experience:

• Hanhua Pick and Place machine experience, or any other Pick and place machine experience.

• Certification in Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or PMP.

• Experience with Industry 4.0 technologies (IoT, predictive maintenance).

• Background in electronics manufacturing or high-volume production environments.

• On-site at our Los Angeles facility

• Split time between the production floor (70%) and engineering office (30%).

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $40,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
