QA Tester
Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Quality Assurance Tester to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the quality and functionality of our software products through rigorous testing and validation processes. This role is crucial in identifying defects, ensuring compliance with business requirements, and enhancing the overall user experience.
Duties
- Develop and execute comprehensive test plans and test cases based on business requirements.
- Perform unit testing to validate individual components of the software.
- Utilize testing tools such as Cucumber and HP ALM for automated and manual testing processes.
- Collaborate with development teams in a Scrum environment to ensure timely delivery of high-quality products.
- Conduct software troubleshooting to identify, document, and resolve defects.
- Maintain version control using GitLab to manage code changes effectively.
- Write SQL queries using PL/SQL for data validation during testing phases.
- Ensure adherence to quality assurance standards throughout the software development lifecycle.
- Provide feedback on usability and functionality based on testing outcomes.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in quality assurance testing with a strong understanding of QA methodologies.
- Familiarity with Cucumber for behavior-driven development (BDD) testing is preferred.
- Experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment is highly desirable.
- Proficient in unit testing practices and tools.
- Strong understanding of business requirements analysis and documentation.
- Knowledge of PL/SQL for database testing is a plus.
- Excellent software troubleshooting skills with attention to detail.
- Familiarity with HP ALM for test management is advantageous.
- Basic knowledge of CSS is beneficial for front-end testing tasks.
- Strong analytical skills, problem-solving abilities, and effective communication skills.
