Position Overview:

We are seeking a skilled iOS Developer with a deep focus on video editing, camera integration, and multimedia processing. In this role, you will work on building, optimizing, and maintaining core video editing features—including keyframe-based animations, real-time video transformations, and video exporting—within our app. You will have the opportunity to tackle challenging tasks using AVFoundation, asynchronous programming patterns, and various multimedia frameworks while also exploring innovative Local AI solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

Video Editing & Processing:

• Design, develop, and optimize modules for video editing, keyframe animations, and video composition.
• Work with AVFoundation to handle tasks such as loading tracks, setting transformation ramps, and applying video compositional instructions.
• Implement algorithms for keyframe interpolation, motion tracking, and video exporting based on dynamic user inputs and various editing modes.

Camera & Multimedia Integration:

• Develop and improve camera functionalities with an emphasis on video capture, real-time processing, and post-capture editing.
• Optimize the app’s performance when handling high-resolution video streams and compute-intensive tasks.

Advanced Asynchronous Operations:

• Utilize modern asynchronous coding techniques (using async/await) to ensure smooth and efficient processing of video data.
• Manage memory and performance considerations while processing and exporting video content.

Local AI Video Processing:

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate on-device AI features that enhance video processing.
• Optimize AI-driven features for efficient performance and improved user privacy during video editing operations.

Collaboration and Code Quality:

• Work closely with product, design, and backend teams to develop innovative features.
• Perform code reviews and ensure adherence to best practices, coding standards, and efficient error handling.
• Maintain and document code for seamless maintenance and future enhancements.

Feature Enhancement & Innovation

• Keep abreast of emerging video processing tools and libraries to continuously elevate the app’s capabilities.
• Propose and implement new features based on evolving industry trends in video editing and multimedia development.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• 4+ years of professional iOS development experience with a portfolio of multimedia or video-intensive applications.
• Expert-level proficiency in Swift with solid hands-on experience in AVFoundation.
• Demonstrated expertise in video editing and processing, including keyframe animations, video composition, and exporting techniques.
• Familiarity with asynchronous programming patterns (async/await) and efficient error handling in video processing.
• In-depth understanding of iOS camera frameworks and real-time video capture methodologies.
• Proven ability to collaborate in cross-functional teams and mentor peers.

Nice to Have:

• Experience with additional multimedia frameworks such as CoreImage, MediaToolbox, or Metal for enhanced video processing.
• Background in applying machine learning techniques for video or image analysis.
• Familiarity with modern video encoding/decoding techniques and compression methods.
• Knowledge of design patterns (e.g., MVVM) and best practices for media-intensive applications.

Prior contributions to open source projects related to video editing or camera integration.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $65,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
