This is a great opportunity to join a small technical accounting and financial reporting team and take on increasing responsibility in a rapidly growing, dynamic business.   You’ll start doing meaningful work from day 1, including accounting policy documentation, technical accounting research, process documentation, and financial reporting.  This is a high-visibility role and will work directly with our Accounting and Finance team and leaders across the company.  Come join the team working to fix the healthcare system!

You will:

• Prepare, maintain, and communicate accounting policies, procedures, and financial results with management and respond to inquiries from the CAO, Controller, and other managers. 
• Support in research, documentation, and communication of accounting methodologies for unique transactions and newly adopted accounting guidance 
• Create accounting records, memorandums, and files that document special transaction details such as mergers, acquisitions, and complex equity transactions and advise and develop journal entries to record transactions accurately 
• Lead the documentation effort of the Company's operational and financial processes 
• Assist with supporting the external audit
• Identify areas of potential improvement during the documentation of the Company's processes 
• Assist with the preparation of equity-related accounting entries and reconciliations
• Assist in the preparation of the monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial reporting packages
• Provide technical accounting support and advice to cross-functional teams as needed

What you will bring to the table: 

• 3+ years experience at a large public accounting firm and/or in a technical accounting and reporting role
• Bachelor's degree with an emphasis or major in accounting or related field
• CPA or CPA candidacy 
• Excellent knowledge of U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), SEC rules & regulations and external reporting requirements 
• Experience with accounting research and technical memo documentation 
• Advanced Excel skills required
• Proven ability to ensure accuracy and clarity in documentation
• Ability to manage multiple tasks while staying organized and meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Bonus points if:

• Acquisition and integration experience 
• Experience accounting for complex equity and debt instruments
• Experience with Netsuite
• Experience documenting process narratives and walkthroughs and identifying controls

Individual rates for the same job title may differ based on their level, responsibilities, skills, and experience for a specific job. The estimated salary range for this role is  $120,000 - $140,000.
