Overview
Corporate Banking (CB) is a technology centric business, with an increasing move to real-time processing, an increasing appetite from customers for integrated systems and access to supporting data. Joining our team is a unique opportunity to help rebuild the core of some of our most mission critical processing systems from the ground-up. As a Risk Transformation Lead, you will be supporting Corporate Bank Technology Chief Risk Officer and collaborating with senior leaders within the Bank. Your role will be a mix of program management and strategic responsibilities, and you will be responsible for managing regulatory commitments across Corporate Bank technology globally. This will require work with regulatory finding owners across the Bank to understand their remediation plans and identify impacts and dependencies on CB tech.

What You’ll Do
Designing and implementing Java based software components for the Transaction Monitoring Data Controls applications
Contributing to DevOps capabilities to ensure maximum automation of our applications
Collaboration across the Technology, Data, & Innovation (TDI) areas such as Cloud Platform, Security, Data, Risk & Compliance areas to create optimum solutions for the Business, increasing re-use, creating best practice and sharing knowledge
Skills You’ll Need
Expert hands-on Java development (Java 11+) in either of:
Spring Boot/Microservices/application programming interface (APIs)/Transactional databases
Java data processing frameworks such as Apache Spark, Apache Beam, Flink
Experience of contributing to software design and architecture including consideration of meeting non-functional requirements (e.g., reliability, scalability, observability, testability), Understanding of relevant Architecture styles and their trade-offs - e.g., Microservices, Monolith, Batch
Professional experience of at least one data storage technology (e.g., Oracle, Big Query), Professional experience of at least one continuous integration/continuous deployment (or development) (CI/CD) tool such as Team City, Jenkins, GitHub Actions
Professional experience of Agile build and deployment practices (DevOps)
Experience of working with a globally distributed team requiring remote interaction across locations, time zones and diverse cultures, Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
Skills to Help you Excel
Detailed Knowledge of Deutsche Bank environment (e.g. software development life cycle (SDLC), Deutsche Bank Global Control Programme (GCP) standards, Fabric, AutoBahn), Professional experience working with Java components on GCP (e.g. App Engine, GKE, Cloud Run)
Professional experience working with RedHat OpenShift, Apache Spark, Kotlin, Drools or similar product, Security experience with OAuth2, Experience of working in one or more large data integration projects/products
Experience and knowledge of Data Engineering topics such as partitioning, optimization based on different goals (e.g. retrieval performance vs insert performance)
Experience working with confidential data and strategies to avoid direct use of raw data, Experience related to any of payment scanning, fraud checking, integrity monitoring, payment lifecycle management
Data modelling experience and understanding of data security principles and implementation considerations
Expectations
It is the Bank’s expectation that employees hired into this role will work in the Cary office in accordance with the Bank’s hybrid working model.

The salary range for this position in Cary is $100,000 to $142,000. Actual salaries may be based on a number of factors including, but not limited to, a candidate’s skill set, experience, education, work location and other qualifications. Posted salary ranges do not include incentive compensation or any other type of remuneration.
