J.M. Smucker, is currently seeking Forklift Operators for its’ Weekend Shift Operations (Thursday-Sunday 5:00pm - 3:00am) starting at $24.32. This position consists of making timely and correct shipments of product to customers and inter-company locations as well as receiving product into the Bloomsburg DC. Forklift drivers are responsible for several areas within the DC including Receiving, Shipping, Order Picking, Inventory, and Put Away of product.
Qualifications/Requirements
Maintain product safety and quality and legality for storage and distribution of product in accordance with the J.M. Smucker Company quality policy and standards.
Assure compliance to all quality standards, Good Manufacturing Practices and BRC requirements pertaining to the manufacturing, storage, and distribution of food.
Maintenance of customary good housekeeping practices with basic knowledge of sanitation in compliance with J.M. Smucker sanitation guidelines in the assigned area.
To be observant to detect and report potential equipment failures to avoid damage to or loss of equipment.
To be observant and willing to suggest changes or modifications to equipment or processes to help improve efficiencies.
Excellent time management skills.
Ability to effectively communicate verbally and written with others.
Basic communication and math skills.
Ability to operate computer systems.
Must have ability to lift up to 50 lbs. with overhead lifting required.
Responsibilities
Receiving Functions : unloading incoming trucks, verify SKUs and amount of product received, accurately complete paperwork and use FR system
Shipping functions: load trucks utilizing forklifts and proper SOP, verify pallet counts and enter information into system.
Case Picking / Directed Work: Complete Utilize computer-generated pick sheets and RF units, utilize forklift to select orders for shipment and stage in designated staging area. Verify product specifications.
Inventory: Perform cycle counts, verify holds and enter data into system and participate in QA audits
Put Away: Transport product from conveyor to designated area and maintain record of all product received.

Education
High School Diploma or GED required.
Pre-employment drug and background verification required.
