While our Customer Success Team serves as the primary point of contact for our DearDoc customers, our Customer Retention Specialists play a critical role in ensuring the long term relationship of our valued customers. As a Customer Retention Specialist, your primary responsibility will be to work with those customers who have requested to cancel their service or whose renewal payment failed to process.


Location - Remote to start, must be willing to go into an office 3 days a week in Phoenix in the future.


Salary - 50K Base, uncapped commission (30K average, paid out on a flat % rate per transacted saved account) - 80K+ OTE

Essential Functions & Responsibilities
  • Own the conversation with assigned doctors who have requested to cancel and/or whose renewal payment failed to process. These conversations include:
  • Establishing a trusted and strategic relationship with each assigned doctor and drive continued value of our products and services
  • Resale value on using DearDoc and work through challenges to ensure retention and product satisfaction
  • Crafting creative solutions that meet the customer and DearDoc’s needs
  • Negotiating contract terms, pricing and product mix
  • Prompt communication and follow through on commitments and next steps
  • Focus on retaining the long-term relationship
  • Follow up specific teams to ensure commitments are executed on customer’s behalf 
  • Be a product expert and evangelist
  • Ability to effectively communicate client information across teams – sales, customer success and product support
  • Innovate on current processes and proactively seek ways to improve the retention experience
  • Develop processes that distinguish our brand by exceeding customer expectations


Skills & Background
  • Bachelor's degree preferred, but not required.
  • 2-4 years of full-time sales experience 
  • Demonstrated experience meeting sales metrics
  • Experience in developing relationships with customers and serving as a consultant
  • Professional attitude and demeanor when interacting with others.
