Overview

DecisionPoint is seeking an innovative Solutions Architect (Mid) to join our corporate growth and delivery teams. The ideal candidate will leverage their technical expertise, business insight, and advanced AI knowledge to design and document scalable, cutting-edge solutions that align with our strategic objectives. A key responsibility will be crafting and reviewing proposals from initial assignment through final delivery, integrating AI-driven tools and methodologies to enhance efficiency and competitiveness. Your role will involve developing innovative architectural products, aligning application design with infrastructure strategies, and pioneering the use of AI and machine learning technologies in areas such as cloud computing, cybersecurity, and application development. This position requires a forward-thinking approach to leverage AI as a force multiplier in solution design and proposal creation, ensuring technical accuracy and alignment with client requirements throughout the entire proposal lifecycle.  This position requires a minimum of 2 days a week of onsite at our Reston Office.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Serve as a solutions architect in helping to cultivate business growth and lead the design and development of complex technical solutions 
  • Contribute to the development of technical solutions for government proposals, incorporating emerging software and open system technologies.
  • Collaborate with proposal teams to craft compelling, technically sound responses that address government requirements, enhance mission capabilities, and demonstrate clear value to federal clients.
  • Provide expertise in areas including enterprise architecture, application, data, security, data fusion, cloud migration, data modeling and infrastructure architecture areas.
  • Leverage cutting-edge AI and machine learning technologies to develop innovative solutions and enhance proposal competitiveness.
  • Identify and implement AI-driven tools and methodologies as force enablers to improve team efficiency and proposal quality.
  • Stay abreast of the latest technological advancements and industry trends, particularly in AI and machine learning, to inform and enhance solution designs.

Qualifications

  • A minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience required.
  • Demonstrated experience developing and documenting technically feasible solutions.
  • Demonstrated experience working on government contracts and familiarity with relevant compliance requirements and proposal formats
  • Progressive technical leadership including supporting cross-functional teams in the areas of engineering, digital, analytics, consulting, and cyber.
  • Demonstrated ability to integrate AI-powered tools into existing workflows to improve efficiency and accuracy in proposal development and solution design processes.
  • Expertise in enterprise infrastructure buildout and management, system and data migration (including legacy systems), coupled with strong team building and consulting skills.
  • Fluent with industry best practices in enterprise and security architecture.
  • Must be highly motivated, goal-driven, and results-oriented with excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Proficiency in using and customizing AI-powered tools like ChatGPT, Claude, or similar for proposal development and solution design.
  • Familiarity with prompt engineering techniques to optimize AI model outputs for specific use cases.
Desired:
  • Experience with the application of Agile practices, DevSecOps support for continuous integration and continuous delivery methodologies, and Zero trust methodologies, coupled with a deep understanding of multi-cloud architectures and experience in designing cloud-native solutions across major platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)
  • Technical Design and Services involving heterogeneous software platforms
  • Practical experience in designing and implementing RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation) workflows to enhance AI-powered information retrieval and content generation systems.
