Senior MERN Stack Developer

We are looking for a highly skilled Senior MERN Stack Developer to join our team and contribute to the design, development, and optimization of scalable web applications. Additionally, you will mentor junior developers, enforce best coding practices, and play a key role in architectural decisions. A solid background in JavaScript (ES6+), TypeScript, RESTful APIs, microservices, and cloud services (AWS, Azure, or GCP) is highly desirable. Responsibilities

● Design, develop, and maintain scalable and reliable microservices that align with business requirements and technical specifications.

● Collaborate with business stakeholders and product managers to understand functional requirements and translate them into microservice solutions.

● Ensure microservices are optimized for performance, scalability, and security, utilizing modern technologies like Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).

● Develop and integrate RESTful APIs for communication between microservices and external systems, ensuring effective data exchange and system interoperability.

● Participate in the development of CI/CD pipelines and automate the deployment of microservices using tools like Jenkins, GitLab, and Kubernetes.

● Implement robust monitoring, logging, and error handling practices to ensure the stability and reliability of microservices in production environments.

● Perform code reviews and ensure that best practices for microservice architecture, security, and design are followed.

● Drive continuous improvement by identifying and implementing process enhancements and technical innovations within the microservices architecture.

● Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate microservices with legacy systems and ensure smooth system migrations.

● Contribute to the documentation of technical designs, architecture decisions, and coding standards.

● Design and maintain MongoDB database schemas.

● Implement data indexing and optimization for efficient query performance.

● Ensure secure data handling through encryption and proper access controls.

● Ensure API versioning and documentation for maintainability.

● 8+ years of experience Leading technology teams with exposure to various technical environments and business segments

● Strong proficiency in microservices design, development, and deployment using Node.js.

● Expertise in building and deploying RESTful APIs and working with JSON, XML, and other data formats.

● Expertise in building components and pages with React.

● In-depth knowledge of containerization (Docker), orchestration tools (Kubernetes), and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).

● Experience with database technologies such as NoSQL (e.g., MongoDB) and SQL (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL).

● Experience of implementing microservices following domain driven design.

● Excellent understanding of front end technologies such as HTML, CSS.

● Strong understanding of Agile methodologies, CI/CD pipelines, and tools like Jenkins, Git, and GitLab.

● Knowledge of message brokers (e.g., Kafka, RabbitMQ) and event-driven architectures.

● Familiarity with monitoring, logging, and error tracking tools like ELK stack, Prometheus, Grafana, or Datadog.

● Proficiency with security best practices, including OAuth, JWT, and API security mechanisms.

● Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to debug and optimize microservices in production environments.

● Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

Certifications

● JavaScript/Node.js Certification, AWS Certified DevOps Engineer or Azure DevOps Engineer Expert is a plus

● Strong knowledge of microservices architecture and design principles.

● Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Python, Red Hat OpenShift , Go, or Node.js, with hands-on experience in building microservices.

● Experience with containerization technologies, such as Docker and Kubernetes, for deploying and managing microservices in scalable environments.

● Expertise in RESTful APIs and other integration methods to enable seamless communication between services.

● Familiarity with API gateways, service mesh technologies (e.g., Istio, Linkerd), and message brokers (e.g., Kafka, RabbitMQ).

● Strong understanding of cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud and their associated services for microservice deployment (e.g., Lambda, EC2, EKS, App Engine).

● Experience with CI/CD pipelines, version control (e.g., Git), and related tools for automating builds and deployments (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI).

● Knowledge of databases such as SQL, NoSQL, and event-driven data stores (e.g., MongoDB, Cassandra, Redis).

● Ability to work in agile teams, collaborating effectively with crossfunctional teams, including QA, DevOps, and product teams, to deliver scalable microservices solutions.
