Technical Program Manager

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Technical Program Manager (TPM) to lead and manage complex, cross-functional technical programs. The TPM will be responsible for driving programs from inception through to successful delivery, ensuring they align with our strategic objectives and meet technical and business requirements.

This role requires a strong technical background and strongly preferred in Banking services, excellent program management discipline, and the ability to effectively collaborate with engineering, product, operations, and other stakeholder teams. You will be a key player in ensuring that our technical projects are delivered on time, within scope, and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Program Planning and Execution:

o Align program scope, objectives, deliverables, and success criteria in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders.

o Develop and maintain comprehensive program plans, including timelines, resource allocation, budgets, and risk management strategies.

o Lead and coordinate cross-functional teams (engineering, product, design, QA, operations) to ensure successful execution of programs.

o Drive day-to-day program activities, manage dependencies, resolve roadblocks, and ensure programs stay on track.

o Oversee all stages of the services and scope, from Kicking off programs different workstreams to successful delivery within project timeline.

• Technical Leadership and Problem Solving:

o Utilize strong technical background to understand complex technical challenges, facilitate technical discussions, and contribute to solutioning.

o Ensure technical feasibility and alignment of proposed solutions with overall architecture and strategy.

o Proactively identify technical risks and dependencies, and develop mitigation plans.

• Stakeholder Management and Communication:

o Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned programs, fostering strong relationships with all stakeholders.

o Effectively communicate program status, progress, risks, and issues to stakeholders at all levels, including executive leadership, in a clear and concise manner.

o Facilitate regular program meetings, including steering committee meetings, and ensure decisions and action items are tracked and completed.

• Risk and Quality Management:

o Implement and manage risk assessment and mitigation processes for programs.

o Ensure that programs meet established quality standards and that appropriate testing and validation processes are in place.

o Conduct post-program reviews to identify lessons learned and drive continuous improvement in program management processes.

• Process Improvement and Best Practices:

o Contribute to the refinement and optimization of program management methodologies and best practices within the organization.

o Promote an environment of analytical thinking and problem-solving.

o Stay abreast of new trends and technologies in program management and relevant technical domains.

• Master's degree in a relevant field.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline, or equivalent practical experience.

• 15+ years of experience in technical program management, Data Center, Business continuity, High availability, Disaster recovery, and Business Resilience.

• Experience with e.g., Jira, Confluence, Asana, MS Project.

• Professional certifications (e.g., PMP, PgMP, Agile/Scrum certifications).

• Demonstrated ability to influence without direct authority.

• Experience working with distributed teams and in a fast-paced environment.

• Deep understanding of e.g., cloud platforms (Vmware VCD, AWS, Azure, GCP), microservices architecture, data engineering, cybersecurity

• Proven experience managing complex, cross-functional technical programs or products from inception to delivery.

• Strong understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and various project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Scrum, Waterfall).

• Excellent organizational, coordination, and multi-tasking skills.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to navigate ambiguity and make sound decisions.

• Exceptional communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with both technical and non-technical audiences.

• Experience in risk management and mitigation strategies.
