How you'll help us Keep Climbing (overview & key responsibilities)
The Manager, Digital UX will be responsible for leading a team in creating intuitive, user-centered designs that enhance the overall user experience and drive engagement on Delta's digital products, including employee and customer facing channels. The UX Manager will oversee and work with a set of Digital UX Specialists to define... the strategic direction and drive cross-divisional collaboration to ensure alignment with Delta's commercial objectives. They will coordinate with product, UI design, research, and IT teams to execute upon the strategy to drive a best-in-class digital user experience.
Responsibilities:
• Build and lead (coach, develop, and mentor) the Digital UX Design team, providing direction to ensure high-quality work and timely project delivery.
• Deliver and inspire award-winning work from their team, influencing change through ideas and creativity.
• Identify and recommend modern UX trends, technologies, and tools to improve the UX design process and outcomes.
• Review and provide feedback on UX design deliverables to ensure they meet quality standards, including adherence to accessibility guidelines as well as serve business needs to improve customer satisfaction and task accomplishment for employee and customer facing channels.
• Support strategy for Delta's digital design system to ensure consistent UX across both internal- and customer-facing digital channels.
• Work closely with our Digital Agency of Record and Internal UI team to ensure delivery of consistent and cohesive digital experiences.
• Advocate for best UX practices and principles within the organization, educating and influencing stakeholders.
• Help source vendors and manage those relationship, as needed, to support business goals.

What you need to succeed (minimum qualifications)
• 2+ years of experience in people leadership
• Minimum 5 years of experience working within the Digital UX field, websites and/or mobile apps preferred
• Experience leading teams of UX specialists such as UX Designers, Copywriters, Accessibility Specialists, Information Architects, and/or UX Researchers
• Strong knowledge of user-centered design principles, information architecture, and interaction design.
• Solid understanding of web and mobile design guidelines, accessibility standards, responsive design principles, and UX research methodologies
• Familiarity in creating wireframes, prototypes, and interactive mockups using tools such as Figma or similar software.
• Strong communication, leadership, and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
• Strong influencing skills to help shape solutions and approaches among product teams to drive change and increase effectiveness.
• Consistently prioritizes safety and security of self, others, and personal data.
• Embraces diverse people, thinking, and styles.
• Possesses a high school diploma, GED, or high school equivalency.
• Is at least 18 years of age and has authorization to work in the United States.
What will give you a competitive edge (preferred qualifications)
• Degree in human factors, human-computer interaction, or related field.
• Previous retail and e-commerce design experience is highly desirable.
• Experience using Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, and prototyping tools preferred.
• Strong portfolio of digital UX work that demonstrates a deep understanding of UX design principles and best practices
