MLL Specialist

Democracy Prep is looking for an MLL Specialist to oversee MLL/ELL best practices, collaborate with school teams, and contribute to a culture of diversity, equity, and inclusion.

Skills

Expertise in MLL/ELL instruction
Understanding of English Language Learner policies
Experience with curriculum modifications and instructional best practices
Strong time management and initiative-taking abilities
Excellent communication skills
Tech-literate with the ability to learn and implement educational software
Bilingual in Spanish-English

Responsibilities

Overseeing and supporting Bilingual/Dual Language Program instructional implementation and ENL classroom instruction
Providing instructional coaching and feedback to teachers on lessons and assessments
Providing professional development on best practices in dual language and MLL/ELL instruction
Partnering with schools to develop and implement ELPs for all MLL/ELL scholars
Analyzing data on MLL/ELL scholars to drive instructional decisions
Supporting new MLL/ELL scholars with enrollment and proper programming

Education

At least two (2) years experience as an ENL teacher in a K-12 setting
