We are seeking an inspirational, bold, and results-oriented marketing leader to join our team. Reporting to our CEO and co-founder, you will be spearheading the overall marketing function for commonFont while also being hands-on in marketing operations. The ideal candidate is adept at making strategic, data-backed decisions and leveraging technology, and possesses a proven track record of engaging across multiple spheres of influence to achieve measurable results.This role is pivotal in driving our long-term marketing strategy, impact, and efficacy, and includes working cross-functionally with internal and external partners, developing and refining services packaging, pricing and pitch materials, overseeing events, managing communications cadence, refining brand strategy, and partnering with Sales to create impactful collateral and provide support.Responsibilities include:• Marketing Strategy: Develop and refine commonFont’s marketing strategy and goals, and build a roadmap of how we will get there. Monitor market trends, conduct competitor analysis, and propose strategic adjustments as needed.• Product Marketing & Sales Collateral: Engage with internal groups to define target market segments, offerings, and pricing strategies. Manage the creation of compelling sales collateral including brochures, presentations, case studies, and white papers that effectively communicate our value and support the Sales team in converting leads.• Public Relations: Develop and implement a strategy for managing and growing commonFont’s perception and reputation in the marketplace and community, including managing company messaging, pitching press releases, securing speaking opportunities, and preparing teammates to represent the business at key events.• Communications Management: Oversee a comprehensive communications calendar encompassing email campaigns, social media posts, press releases, and other promotional activities. Responsible for ensuring schedules and content are coordinated across different marketing channels.• Event Oversight: Direct the execution of marketing events, including conferences, webinars, trade shows, and internal events. Ensure events align with overall marketing objectives and contribute to lead generation and brand awareness.• Leadership & Collaboration: Lead the marketing team and partnerships with internal stakeholders, fostering a culture of creativity, collaboration, empowerment, and accountability. Collaborate strategically with Sales teammates to align marketing initiatives in support of achieving sales goals.• External Partnerships: Oversee relationships with external partners such as agencies, vendors, and industry influencers. Identify opportunities for joint marketing initiatives, sponsorships, and co-branded campaigns to extend our reach and impact.• Technology & Data: Leverage technology and data to optimize results, track key metrics related to efficacy and efficiency, provide actionable insights, and make data-informed decisions. Strategically implement and leverage new technology and AI.While you may not check all of these boxes, you describe yourself in many of the following ways:• You have 10+ years of progressive marketing experience, preferably B2B.• You have a Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration or related field; Master’s degree preferred, or equivalent work experience.• You have the desire to manage the full breadth of our marketing efforts, holding ultimate responsibility for producing successful results.• You are strategic in establishing priorities and goals for marketing, while also rolling up your sleeves to ensure the work gets done.• You have a history of achieving measurable results growing sales/revenue through your marketing efforts.• You have strong decision-making skills with a track record of implementing successful service, product and/or brand marketing strategies.• You are technologically savvy with proficiency in marketing automation, CRM software, and analytics tools.• You have excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to tell stories and create persuasive content and presentations.• You are a strategic thinker with a creative mindset and a keen eye for detail.• You are a passionate, confident, and versatile professional with a commitment to achieving exceptional results in a fast-paced, evolving, and high-performance environment.
