Dental Intern

Job Summary
The Department of Dentistry is seeking a summer intern who is currently enrolled in Undergrad or Master’s program. Work duties will vary depending on the business needs of the department. This is a temporary position, 8 – 10 weeks, June – August, with exact dates to be determined.

The Dental Intern is responsible for the following:

• Calling patients from the waiting room
• Restocking rooms
• Attending daily huddles
• Cleaning, disinfecting, turning over, setting-up rooms
• Bringing contaminated instruments to serialization area
• Unpacking and organizing supplies
• Administrative projects
• Quality Improvement projects
• Clinical observation
• Frontline observation
• Attending Department-wide meetings
• Contacting families to collect missing insurance information or PCP notes
• COVID screening calls

The Dental Intern must have the following:

• Currently enrolled in Undergrad or Master’s program.
