We are seeking a LEAD UX Designer-TEMPORARY to work with both the design team and our development teams to produce engaging, intuitive, enjoyable user experiences for end-users. Reporting to the Director, User Experience, you will participate in product discovery and delivery. You will work with our clients to understand their needs and with end-users to understand their goals. Working with the Product Owner, you will help develop a product vision. You will create product solutions and present them to the design team, the development team, end-users, and partners, to collect feedback and iterate toward the best solution. You will establish patterns and create familiar experiences that reduce the end-user's cognitive load. This is a TEMPORARY role from 9/30/2024-12/31/2024, 40 hours per week. There is a chance that this position could convert to a permanent role in the future.Responsibilities within your role will include:Project Leadership: Lead UX design projects from inception to completion, ensuring they meet client objectives and user needs.User Research: Support UX Researchers in comprehensive user research and usability testing to gather insights and validate design decisions.Design Creation: Develop wireframes, prototypes, high-fidelity designs, and other UX deliverables to effectively communicate ideas.Stakeholder Collaboration: Collaborate with client partners, product managers, developers, and other stakeholders to ensure cohesive and user-centered design solutions.Team Mentorship: Mentor and guide junior designers, fostering a collaborative and growth-oriented team environment.Design Project Management: Help define and meet deadlines and deliverables timelines.Client Interaction: Communicate effectively with clients to understand their needs, present design concepts, and incorporate feedback.Qualifications• 5 years of experience as a UX Designer, UI Designer, or similar role.• A current portfolio of design projects.• Proficient in prototyping tools programs such as XD, Figma & Sketch.• Experience with interaction design principles, wireframes and information architecture.• Continued education and research into UX trends and current design strategies and technologies.Preferred Experience:• Financial Services Experience: Prior experience working on UX projects within the financial services industry, particularly with large national banks.• Regulatory Knowledge: Understanding of financial regulations and compliance requirements that impact UX Design in banking.• Complex Systems Design: Experience designing for complex, multi-faceted systems such as online banking platforms, mobile banking app, and financial dashboards.• Stakeholder Management: Proven ability to work in a blended team environment between agency resources and client resources. Manage and communicate effectively with multiple stakeholders, including executives, product managers, and technical teams.• Agency Experience.Additional InformationThe anticipated hourly rate range for this position is $44.13 - $71.64 per hour.
