This role is responsible for leading, motivating, and managing a team that cultivates relationships with tens of thousands of current and prospective donors who engage with our Museum. The primary focus is on members and current donors who are not under active portfolio management (individual and corporate).
Key responsibilities include setting strategic direction, overseeing, executing, and ensuring
accountability for one of the largest paid nonprofit membership programs in the country. This role also manages the annual appeal, online giving, donor relations and stewardship, and strategic donor engagement through events, all while being accountable for an annual goal of over $6 million.

Hiring Range: $100,000-$115,000/year
Work Schedule: Mon-Fri, 8:00am-5:00pm, with frequent evening and occasional weekend commitments.

Essential Duties
- Manages multiple multi-channel marketing, sales, engagement and communication strategies designed to increase interaction with, support of, and connection to the Museum among current and prospective donors and members that are not actively managed by a gift officer.
- Designs, creates and implements communication strategies, promotional efforts, and engagement plans based on a deep understanding of the audiences gained from research and data-informed insights.
- Serves as a strategic partner in designing and refining all aspects of membership offerings including pricing strategies, benefit levels and packages, engagement strategies (ex. acquisition, retention, stewardship and communications) and events.
- Researches membership trends identifying new or different strategies and tactics to test, or concepts to offer, in order to ensure optimization and maximization of the benefits and packages.
- Partners with the analytics team on developing constituent segmentation strategies, workflow automations, proactive, real-time and reflective analysis on the effectiveness of strategies and campaigns.
- Responsible for hiring and supervising staff.
Minimum Qualifications/Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
- 7 years’ experience in fundraising, business development, or sales.
- 5 years’ experience developing and managing multi-channel customer engagement campaigns.
- 5 years’ experience supervising staff.
- 3 years’ experience utilizing a CRM.
- Frequent evening and occasional weekend work.
