THE POSITION
Currently, the Long Beach City Prosecutor's Office seeks qualified candidates for the position of Deputy City Prosecutor. If you want to make a difference in your community and are willing to put in the work to ensure justice, this might be the job for you. Specifically, the office seeks:
The Office of the City Prosecutor is one of the busiest municipal prosecuting agencies in country, handling about 14,000 cases each year. The City Prosecutor's Office is also considered a national leader in innovative court diversion programs and community-based prosecution, giving it the distinction of being a model for other prosecuting agencies.
EXAMPLES OF DUTIES
REQUIREMENTS TO FILE
1) Member of the California State Bar in good standing;
2) Significant experience in the area of criminal law, preferably as a criminal prosecutor in California;
3) Strong organizational skills;
4) Professionalism;
5) Ability to handle jury trials;
6) A positive and courteous attitude; and
7) Commitment to working as part of a team.
