Join us in this role where you, together with the Lead Wind Farm Commissioning Project Manager, will be responsible for the overall planning, coordination, management, and execution of the windfarm end-to-end commissioning and testing activities. For the coming years, this concerns our projects in the Mid-Atlantic Program, i.e., Ocean Wind 01, where we’ll establish our EPC Hub at the Atlantic City or New Jersey.

You’ll be part of the Wind Farm Commissioning Project Management where you, together with passionate and highly skilled colleagues, will deliver and secure the overall reliability, operability, and performance of our offshore wind farm projects. In cooperation with your Lead Wind Farm Commissioning Project Manager at site, you’ll also head a team of highly skilled high voltage switching and control engineers. While on site, you’ll report directly to the Lead Wind Farm Commissioning Project Manager, and your Functional Line Manager for your further development. You’ll play an important role in:

  • establishing strong stakeholder and interface management relations and communication with key internal and external stakeholders for execution of overall commissioning and end-to-end testing program
  • defining and securing all onshore and offshore energization activities, compliance testing activities, validation of wind farm performance and reliability, and final transfer of tests documentation to O&M
  • securing a timely manpower allocation plan within own team of electrical engineers and technicians, predominantly professionals with authorized qualifications
  • planning, coordinating, and executing the electrical commissioning of the overall wind farm assets within own resources, energization and test program, HSE, QA/QC, progress and costs
  • ensuring optimal wind farm power export capacity and performance throughout the commissioning period until final transfer to O&M
  • participating in the development and optimization of the commissioning execution of wind farms within the department.

To succeed in the role, you:

  • have a relevant technical qualification, for example a bachelor’s degree in electrical or mechanical engineering, or equivalent with minimum 8 years of senior commissioning management experience
  • possess strong leadership and management skills for impactful communication with teams and stakeholders, the development of your team, and for influencing project performance
  • have strong personal drive and thrive working in a project management role coordinating complex and cross-discipline commissioning activities
  • have experience from large-scale projects, such as thermal or nuclear power generation plants, oil and gas, or other relevant complex industries, and managing the associated tasks in a professional manner
  • have solid experience with working efficiently in a large matrix organisation, and understand how to engage the right internal and external people and stakeholders at the right time
  • are resilient, persistent, and thrive in an international environment, with the ability to create good relationships with your stakeholders.
