What You’ve Accomplished

You have completed a BS in Mechanical, Nuclear, Materials Science & Engineering, or a related engineering degree. You may have also obtained an advanced degree in similar fields. You have worked in an engineering role for at least 7 years and are ready to join Framatome and help deliver clean, safe energy and advance nuclear technology.

  • Leadership: ability to lead a team of engineers with varying skill sets and years of experience. This includes assigning tasks, giving clear direction, setting realistic goals and timelines, providing feedback, and motivating team members.
  • Problem-solving / decision-making: adept at analyzing complex problems and making informed decisions. Able to think critically, evaluate alternatives and propose effective solutions to technical challenges.
  • Project management: plan and organize projects, allocate resources effectively, and ensure projects are completed within budget and are of high quality.
  • Communication / Interpersonal Skills: ability to collaborate with team members, other departments, and different levels of management. Able to convey technical information clearly, listen actively, and foster open lines of communications.
  • Technical expertise: deep understanding of engineering principles, particularly with respect to thermal-mechanical design analysis of nuclear fuel. Cognizant of industry standards, best practices, and emerging technologies. Has led development of new tools and methods to support design and analysis.

Your Opportunity

This full-time role is about making an impact on people’s lives and the future of clean energy. You will leverage your skills and experience to be part of an innovative team and make a difference for our customers. As a Design & Analysis Team Supervisor in Lynchburg, VA or Richland, WA (remote work will also be considered), you will be part of the proven team in the Fuel Design Business Line in the Fuel Business Unit. Your work will include providing the technical support to and development of the engineers within the Thermal-Mechanical Analysis and Design disciplines. In addition the supervisor supports team members assigned to R&D projects, develops and maintains defined team processes (guidelines, methodologies, design bases) and encourages cross-collaboration with other teams and disciplines. As some of the team's projects are global in nature, the Design and Analysis Team Supervisor will be expected to maintain successful collaboration and communication across global regions. This position requires occasional travel. Together we will enable clean, safe, and economical low-carbon energy to meet the global ambition for a better tomorrow.

Your Total Rewards Package

The range of base salary for the position is between $106,000 - $143,000, and may also include annual incentives, performance bonuses and benefits. Please note that the base salary range is a guideline, and individual total compensation will vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level, competencies and work location.
