Design Intern

BDG is seeking a Design Intern for our Summer internship program.


BDG’s 2023 Summer Internship Program is an exciting opportunity to get hands-on experience at one of the fastest growing digital media companies today. Our immersive program gives each intern the chance to explore and develop their interests through executive mentorship, career training, professional development seminars and workshops, collaborative projects, off-site events and more.


This is a paid, part-time opportunity beginning June 12, 2023 and runs through September 8, 2023. Candidates should be available to work up to 28 hours per week, and will be given the choice to work either remotely or from BDG’s New York City HQ office near Madison Square Park, depending on your role. 


Responsibilities


  • Assist with updating existing graphic templates while adhering to each brand’s guidelines
  • Assist with product silos and any ongoing creative needs of the team
  • Organize the Adobe CC library for each brand, applying a logical system to all graphic assets, color swatches, and gradient swatches so that it is easily understood and accessed by the creative team
  • Pull swipes for photo decks
  • Provide daily updates to manager and weekly milestones to team


Requirements


  • Ability to be a self-starter and work independently as the team is mostly remote
  • Able to take direction for projects, as well as incorporate feedback from managers and peers
  • Currently enrolled in a graphic design, media, or related program
  • Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign)
  • Strong understanding of design principles, typography, and color theory
  • Basic knowledge of HTML and CSS preferred

$17 - $17 an hour
