Dev Support I

WHAT IMPACT CAN A DEV SUPPORT I HAVE AT ESG?

East Side Games is looking for a Dev Support I to work with the Game Design/QA team. You'll work closely with the Producer and Dev Support II to help model and improve in-game designs and events, shifting focus from conversion to retention and monetization for the game needs. You'll be involved with reproducing and reporting any bugs, creating and updating technical documentation and providing actionable insight for some of our most popular games.

We’re a remote-first studio and encourage all applications.

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

Model and improve in-game designs and events - shifting focus from conversion to retention and monetization for the game needs
Creating and improving technical documentation
Fulfill game design and QA needs for Always Sunny: Gang Goes Mobile/Dragon Up (Netflix)
Being involved with some Bud Farm Grass Roots QA/Game Design tasks
Reproduce and report any bugs, follow up by reports and test case results - present this to Dev Support II / Producer
Be hands on with the creation, iteration and tuning of the game balances and economy
Live in our data, breath in the spreadsheets and breathe out actionable insights for the games mentioned above
Work with our analytics team to improve balances, tests, processes, tools, and economy design practices
Collaborate with other designers on economy balancing and event/game design
Design and own economy and system tools to facilitate game content creation and tuning
Conceptualizing and developing characters, rules, settings and stories
Developing design and gaming protocols.
Doing quality control
Create and maintain comprehensive documentation (such as design outlines, diagrams, and visual mockups)

WHAT YOU WILL BRING:

Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Willingness and ability to work with others
Ability to engage everyone respectfully and professionally
Ability to manage own tasks and complete them on time
Comfortable raising issues as soon as they arise and working towards finding solutions

YOU ARE:

Someone who enjoys games, particularly mobile games. You are on top of the latest games, trends and what’s happening in live events
You have studied game design/software testing in school or at-home learning, including; tuning game system variables, familiarity with spreadsheets, hands-on playtesting
Have worked on 2-3 projects previously within gaming (or a relevant industry), showing a solid understanding of game design/QA
