Position Summary
Development Purchasing localizes and onboards all new vendors for BOM components through the GSRM [Global Supplier Risk Management] process and Change Request process. Audits vendors and takes conducts production line walk-through together with CS and VE. Manages contract negotiation, legal PSA [purchasing agreement], pricing, and all Purchasing Master data in SAP.
Role and Responsibilities
1. Localize all BOM components, by performing onsite audits, contract review for legally binding PSA, and analysis of tooling costs, material costs; work with CS and VE departments for Line trials here at SEHA.
2. Execute the material cost reduction strategy to achieve profit and loss target. Calculate and track cost reduction by organizing monthly material cost and PE (Purchasing Engineering) Plan.
3. Direct activity to settle manufacturing cost including calculation of execution material cost, actual material costs, etc. and lead analyzing the cost competitiveness through material cost analysis, then proposing purchasing strategies for the following year with completed analysis.
4. Analyze trend of material ratio of each product/model, monthly PE (Purchasing Engineering), VE (Value Engineering)/partner/site performance, and cost competitiveness.
5. Enter and manage all master data for purchasing, price changes, safety stocks, safety times, Supplier Lead times, In-Transit times, tooling costs in SGTM, eCIMs updates, and GSRM updates including conflict minerals, ROHS, Reach, Phthalates, and strategic materials.
6. Manage daily, weekly and monthly reports on each commodity item in the R&R and that PIC's [person in charge], including status updates on each item.
Skills and Qualifications
1. Education: Bachelor’s degree in business, Accounting, Supply Chain, Operations Management, Engineering and/or 8 to 10 years of equivalent experience in lieu of education requirement [5 or more years of experience in commidity management or puchasing preferred]
2. Experience: Minimum 0-2 years
3. Skills: Ability to multi-task, prioritize and work in an extremely fast-paced environment. Contract, Price negotiations, capacity analysis and model costing analysis
