The Key Account Manager will be responsible for managing a portfolio of retail and ecom B2B clients and ensuring their needs are met with the highest level of service. This role involves strategic planning, relationship building, and proactive problem-solving to maintain and grow key accounts. The ideal candidate will come from a background in sales and would already have experience working with clients such as but not limited to : Best Buy, Amazon, Bloomingdales, etc.
The role is for an in-person position being in the office 4 days a week in Dumbo, NYC.
Key Responsibilities :
Client Relationship Management :
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with key clients, acting as the main point of contact and owner of the portfolio
- Understand clients' needs, challenges, and goals to provide tailored solutions and recommendations to increase sales and customer satisfaction
- Conduct quarterly business reviews with clients to ensure satisfaction and identify opportunities for improvement.
Strategic Planning :
- Create and implement account growth plans that align with Devialet and clients' objectives
- Analyze market trends and client data to anticipate future needs and opportunities.
- Collaborate with internal teams to deploy new offerings
Sales and Business Development :
- Identify and pursue opportunities for upselling and cross-selling within existing accounts.
- Develop and present proposals and presentations to clients to secure new business or expand existing contracts.
- Achieve or exceed sales targets and revenue goals for assigned accounts.
Problem-Solving and Issue Resolution:
- Address and resolve any issues or concerns raised by clients in a timely and effective manner.
- Coordinate with internal departments to ensure prompt resolution of any service-related problems.
Reporting and Analysis :
- Prepare and present regular reports on account performance, sales activities, and market trends.
- Monitor account metrics and KPIs to assess the effectiveness of strategies and make data-driven decisions.
Qualifications :
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field.
- 5 years of experience in account management or a related role, preferably with nationwide accounts
- Proven track record of managing and growing client relationships and achieving sales targets.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport and influence stakeholders.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think strategically.
- Proficiency with salesforce software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
- Ability to travel as needed to meet with clients or attend industry events.(10%)
