What You Will Accomplish:

• Evolve our IaC CI/CD strategy and tooling

• Help improve and refine our Config Management tech stack

• Manage our core AWS infrastructure including our network architecture, RDS, and EKS clusters

• Automate the spin up of entire cluster (EKS, RDS) using Terraform

• Tighten access levels across infrastructure with Security

• Implement resiliency best practices

• Strong technical skills, excellent communications and problem-solving skills, and the ability to engage and interact with partners in global teams.

• Experience in/a strong desire to learn operating resilient distributed systems and designing and implementing infrastructure automation to support them

• Understanding and experience with infrastructure tools and technologies such as Kubernetes, Terraform, Ansible, etc.

• Knowledge on public clouds such as AWS to create tailored solutions solving complicated problems at scale

• Understanding the concept of engineering for reliability and being able to drive agendas within the team and across the organization

What You Will Bring:

• BS in Computer Science or equivalent job-related experience

• 8+ years of DevOps experience supporting SaaS applications

• 7+ years of working knowledge of coding is a must. One or more of Python, Golang, Ruby, and Bash is preferred. Software development experience in Ruby or Bash scripting is a plus

• Kubernetes and Docker experience strongly required

• Experience with IaC platforms such as CloudFormation or Terraform

• Solid understanding of AWS. Azure or GCP is a plus. AWS certification is a plus

• Experience in public cloud infrastructure development or equivalent backend development.

• Understanding of how to configure, deploy, run and maintain large cloud-hosted systems;including auto-scaling, monitoring, performance tuning, troubleshooting, and disaster recovery

• Working knowledge with Linux and Unix based OSs

• Hands on application of Configuration Management to live production instances

• Demonstrated ability to apply Ansible, Puppet or Chef

• An eye towards resiliency and maintaining HA systems

• Understanding and experience with build, continuous integration and continuous deployment processes, source control and testing pipelines

• Ability to dig deep, debug and solve problems on distributed systems

• Being a great listener, collaborator, communicator, and mentor

• Knowledge of best engineering practices around building high-performance, reliable, and scalable applications

Bonus Points:

• Knowledge about cloud security and methodologies

• Experience designing, analyzing and solving problems in large-scale distributed systems

• Experience with full-stack development as well as operating services at scale

• A strong background in open source technologies
