Apply via Dice today!Software Engineer (Operations Support)Location: 100% RemoteDuration: 6+ Months Contract To HireDescription:• It s a full stack developer role, with emphasis on Backend (Java).• Looking for an entrepreneurial/Independent contributor kind of person.Must haves: (full stack)• Java• Api layers on java• Expertise on front end layer putting together from a UI/UX perspective• *ownership scalable, solution oriented• Understanding of Salesforce,• Ops team relies on a lot of data that is on elastic they look at patterns of calls that are coming in and need to staff according to the calls, load and pull out data• *mini startupEssential Functions:• As a Software Engineer, you will be a part of a growing team of hands-on, passionate professionals delivering critical system functionality & innovative software solutions for internal and external clients.• This work will span back-end systems, cloud servers, interpreter desktop applications, and mobile applications that are in the hands of our customers.• The ideal candidate will have strong technical skills, the ability to quickly move across different technologies, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.Responsibilities of the Software Engineer will include:• Design, develop, modify, implement, and support software components anywhere in the software stack.• Review and debug code.• Remain current on new technologies; evaluate and make recommendations as necessary.• Mentor Software Engineers to allow for skill/knowledge development through advice and coaching.• Troubleshooting and resolving issues, problems, and errors encountered across our web properties, internal applications and systems as reported or experienced.• Support LLS Quality Management System (QMS) to continually improve the Division s processes, procedures, and services; and thereby increase efficiency, productivity, effectiveness, and customer satisfaction.• Participating in ongoing education and professional development opportunities.Qualifications:• 7 years hands-on Java experience working with scalable back-end systems.• Experience working in Linux environments.• Experience in agile delivery, as well as DevOps.• Competence in scripting languages such as Python, or Bash shell.• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.• Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field, or equivalent work experience.• Salesforce/Apex, Elasticsearch, and/or WebRTC development experience is a plus.• Must possess excellent business judgment and a practical, common-sense approach to getting things done.• Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot problems, as well as consult on architectural design and configuration changes.Fullstack/Software Engineer (Operations Support)
