React / JavaScript / TypeScript UI Developer

Apply via Dice today!RESPONSIBILITIES:Kforce has a client in NYC that is seeking a React/JavaScript/TypeScript UI Developer. The role is for a talented Front End Engineer to participate in steering the evolution of our systems. You will collaborate closely with our engineering team to construct and maintain our internal Content Management System (CMS), a critical component managing live events for our client. This role is responsible for delivering high-performance solutions to cater to the demands of our rapidly expanding platform. This role can work remote, however candidates must live in PST time zone.Responsibilities:• Building and maintaining scalable and robust frontend applications using React, TypeScript, and other modern JavaScript technologies• Work with designers, product owners and stakeholders to define and validate visual requirements, user workflow and UI prototypes• Work with UI engineers, as well as maintain, evolve and modernize our existing video encoding platforms• Developing reusable, efficient, and accessible UI components according to design specifications• Working with GraphQL or REST APIs for integration with backend services• Actively influence future innovations by following the latest and most efficient UI technology trends• Advocate culture of collaboration and teamwork between engineersREQUIREMENTS:• 3+ years of frontend engineering experience• 3+ years of experience required, working on the UI component side• Entertainment/media related industry experience• Experience with JavaScript/ES6/TypeScript: Strong understanding of fundamental JavaScript concepts, extensive knowledge of ES6, as well as familiarity with TypeScript and understanding of its benefits and use cases• Familiar with CSS, CSS pre-processors like SASS / LESS, and Frameworks such as Bootstrap or Material-UI• Understanding of modern front-end build pipelines and tools• Familiar with GraphQL/NodeJS, RESTful API and understanding of modern front-end build pipelines and tools• Experience with Next.js or other server-side rendering frameworks• Recent UI Front-End Software Engineer experience required• JavaScript/TypeScript - Must be thoroughly explained in resume job descriptions, if it only added to environment or skills lists then this is not acceptable• Experience with React/GraphQL - Must be thoroughly explained in resume job descriptions, and not only added to environment or skills listsThe pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role.
