Senior Scrum MasterRemoteContractClient: DCSANote: Need Active Top Secret ClearanceThe Scrum Master is a servant leader who supports and facilitates the Scrum process for a cross-functional team. This role ensures that Scrum practices are followed, helping the team to deliver high-quality products efficiently. The Scrum Master works closely with the Product Owner and the Development Team to foster a collaborative environment, remove impediments, and ensure that the team remains focused on delivering value.Key Responsibilities:• Facilitate Scrum Ceremonies: Lead and facilitate key Scrum events including Sprint Planning, Daily Stand-ups, Sprint Reviews, and Sprint Retrospectives.• Support the Team: Assist the Development Team in becoming self-organizing and high-performing, and help resolve any obstacles or impediments that may affect the team's productivity.• Coach and Mentor: Provide guidance on Scrum practices and principles to team members and stakeholders, and encourage continuous improvement.• Shield the Team: Protect the team from external interruptions and distractions to help maintain focus and productivity.• Collaborate with Product Owner: Work closely with the Product Owner to ensure the backlog is well-defined, prioritized, and ready for the team to work on.• Monitor Progress: Track and report on the team s progress towards goals and objectives, and facilitate effective communication between team members and stakeholders.• Promote Agile Practices: Advocate for Agile principles and practices, and work to improve processes and team dynamics.Qualifications:• Experience: Proven experience as a Scrum Master or in a similar role in Agile project management.• Certification: Scrum Master certification (e.g., Certified ScrumMaster (CSM), Professional Scrum Master (PSM)) is preferred.• Skills: Strong facilitation, coaching, and mentoring skills; excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to manage conflicts and drive team performance.• Knowledge: In-depth understanding of Scrum and Agile methodologies, and experience with Agile tools and practices.• Education: Bachelor s degree in a related field, or equivalent experience.Personal Attributes:• Empathy: Ability to understand and address the needs and concerns of team members.• Adaptability: Capable of thriving in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment.• Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to address challenges and obstacles effectively.Scrum Master (Need Active Top Secret Clearance)
