Apply via Dice today!Title: US Fund AccountantLocation: Boston MATerms: ContractJob DescriptionSpecific Duties:• Hold a conversation with Fund Accounting experts on domain. Come up with ideas to challenge the existing process and provide better ways of managing the process.• Lead the process and perform daily / weekly / quarterly tasks for Fund Accounting across various products like Equities, Fixed Income, Derivatives• Daily interaction with Clients and other departments like Trades, CA, Derivatives, Captstock, NAV Hub, CSG and ability to build good rapport with these teams for faster issue resolution.• Participate in regular operations governance and ensure accurate and timely Management Information mechanism.• Manage pre-defined Service Level Agreements and ensure smooth delivery.• Monitor workflow and plan resources in line with the operations requirement.• Preparedness for various type of internal\external audit & compliance requirements• Review training and re requirements and schedule sessions for the teams.• Lead / contribute to the transformation and productivity initiatives• Push a culture of compliance and risk management in line with regulatory requirements guided by the client.Experience: Minimum- 8 years of experience in Fund Accounting teams.Skills / Competency Requirements• Self-starter, motivated, positive attitude and leading by example.• Strong client communications skills and Consultative mind set.• Good knowledge of end-to-end Fund Accounting process• Must have good understanding of various teams that support Fund Accounting process like FAS Trades, Fund Accounting Corporate Action, Fund Accounting Cap Stock, Pricing, NAV Hub etc.• Good analytical skills to understand impact on upstream and downstream processes.• Should be able to find root causes and fix the issues• Has closely worked with the teams supporting Fund Accounting process and has good communication along with go getter attitude and rapport building attitude to get the things done.• Good understanding of various capital market products and securities along with their lifecycle.• Experience in managing international and demanding Clients
