About this Position
The Digital Communications Processor 1 handles and codes digital documents utilizing ITC systems for various processing areas throughout the Primerica Organization. This critical role helps to ensure that documents received from customers and sales are processed correctly and in a timely manner in order that policy changes, newly issued policies and other documents are processed. Intermediate experience working with various computer systems, attention to detail, speed in processing are skills necessary for success in this role. Excellent written and verbal communication skills as well as the ability to work well both in a team environment and independently are required. The individual selected must also be able to maintain excellent cross-functional working relationships, work well-under pressure, be a fast learner and execute projects as requested. Insurance industry exposure or experience highly desirable but not required.
The Digital Communications Processor 1 will assist and become familiar with a variety of documents used across Primerica.
Responsibilities & Qualifications
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Work assigned queues and assign doc codes accurately.
Ability to communicate effectively in writing and verbally.
Ability to work with cross-functionally with business units and leadership.
Ability to maintain and update desk reference guide used as a tool in coding.
Other duties as assigned
Ability to work either a tradition 5-day work week or a condensed 4-day work
week with 10-hour days
Ability to work overtime as needed including weekends namely at the beginning
of the month for month end processing
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
Fast learner with ability to efficiently code documents with speed and accuracy.
Quick grasp of systems involved in document coding, and ability to learn both back and front-end processes.
Willingness to learn with no hesitancy in asking questions for clarification.
Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively communicate with others.
Sound business related skills such as problem solving, team building, judgment and decisions making.
Excellent planning and organization skills, with a commitment to delivering on aggressive timelines
Ability to work in a collaborative environment as well as independently with minimal supervision.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
High School Graduate; Some college highly desired
Product or industry-specific experience
Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office, DOS mainframe experience/Knowledge,
Basic understanding of Queries and data analysis a plus
Some knowledge of tools, concepts, and methodologies of QC
Ability to learn and utilize data analysis tools
