Digital Marketing Data Analyst

We are currently looking for a Marketing Data Analyst to join our team. The ideal candidate would be an in-office/hybrid position for an individual who lives in the Greater Sacramento Area.

In this position, you will play an important role in keeping our advertising managers and clients informed of current account performance, trends, and insights. You will be responsible for creating and updating client reports including creating innovative data visualizations and using advanced analytics.

You will:

• Coordinate with account managers to build and maintain client reports in Tableau
• Troubleshoot day-to-day reporting issues
• Provide ad hoc analysis or reporting as needed
• Maintain professional client-facing projects on Tableau Online
• Collaborate with the development team and business intelligence manager to streamline data pipeline and improve business intelligence strategies
• Be a well-integrated member of the team. Participate in team meetings, be active on Slack, etc.
• Mentor and train additional team members (as needed)

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in information systems, analytics, or related major and 6+ months practical experience (or 2+ semesters of college coursework) in at least three of the following areas:

• Tableau, Power BI, or other similar data visualization tools
• Data modeling and databases such as MS SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL, DB2, MS Access, etc.
• Data management concepts - data processing, analysis, visualization, and security
• Development of low-latency, reliable reports; designing with data visualization best practices

You will also have:

• Familiarity with basic advertising and marketing principles (6+ months practical experience in a related or tangential field, or 1+ semester of college coursework)
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to organize, prioritize, and plan their own work, while aligning with project priorities and changes to priorities
