Digital Product Manager for Training Scheduling
-
Accountable to define and communicate to the product team the product roadmap for CAE Digital Products assigned to (Civil, or D&S, HC) existing and new, including the process and outputs required to communicate and coordinate product inception through to delivery

Scope includes:
-
Product roadmap/executional plan to add annual value to products & deliver value to end-users, including creation of core feature packages, enhancements and upgrades sequence addressing market segments identified with BU Program Manager.

Accountability for life cycle management for the product with PO & Tech stakeholders, and Identify and recommend product improvements to fit customer needs and ensure market competitiveness

Accountable to help plot the product execution plans for current and new areas of growth with BU Product/Sales owners

Ensure that we are delivering Digital Strategies that meet business needs and requirements – ensure customer feedback, patterns, consumer behaviors understood, and processes developed to feed into the product lifecycle via a documented and data driven approach

Manage Product Ceremonies in collaboration with PO & Chapters Delivery primes or leads ( Focus on Sprint Planning & Review - Scrum, Sprint Delivery should be handled by PO)

Responsible for product idea validation & actively drive business case/investment decision process, including yearly budget, quarterly updates and monthly sponsors reviews

Have a clear understanding of business cases, costs and profitability for each product assigned to

Ensure best in class customer experience while delivering a commercial roadmap (with CX Lead)

Manage day-to-day seamless relationship with Product owner & delivery Chapter leads to ensure Sprint Planning and delivery are executed.
Product Strategy:
Drive business/product strategy aligned with the strategic goals of the company and business unit and program manager-
Own annual road mapping process, with BU leads (Program managers) and Tech Stakeholders, and coordinate for external teams’ engagement in the process including prioritization

Participate in long-range strategy planning to address complex business issues and new product development/integrations

Anticipate, challenge, and interpret CAE Digital Products Ecosystem and technology trends and innovations as they relate to the backlogs and future product roadmaps

Participate in product due diligence for new technology partners or purchases

Bring together cross-functional teams as required to influence business decisions and advance long-term strategic efforts
Performance Management:
-
Work with the BU Program Manager to develop, establish, and maintain standards, procedures and KPIs
-
Introduce metrics designed to track the effect of the product teams to determine whether all leads are effective at meeting targets
-
Develop/review product health reports & effect change based on results
Technical skills:
-
Strong analytical, prioritization, and negotiating skills
- Usability and customer-focused design experience a plus
-
Passionate about building great digital products and solving customer and business problems
- Ability to deeply understand digital market trends, partner ecosystems and competitive strategies
-
Comfort with business strategy, backlog prioritization, go to market, pricing and tracking KPIs & financial metrics

Ability to go deep on digital technology, trends, architectural questions, stack control points, roadmaps and managing the Digital Product Lifecycle

Enable innovation through talented individuals, test-and-learn culture, innovation-oriented practices and organization
-
Deep knowledge of Agile and its methodologies

Knowledge of aviation pilot training and scheduling is an asset

PMP a plus
Soft skills:

Strategic thinking, able to develop and communicate a product vision to different teams and stakeholders

Bilingualism (French and English) is required

Proactive, self-starter with excellent product management skills and ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.

Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage, influence, and inspire partners and stakeholders to drive collaboration and alignment.
