Overview Of Position

The Director, Software Engineering - Supply Chain Technology will provide subject matter expertise, oversight and leadership in technological domain to various projects for Warehouse business as well as Business process automation. Lead the design for WMS and business process automation, defines standards and policies, leads the Fulfillment workflow and ensures seamless integration with delivery of enterprise systems. Improves business processes and technology efficiencies by managing the development, implementation, and maintenance of business applications systems. Leads multiple projects and initiatives in technology domain across the organization.

This role will report to Sr Director Enterprise Applications and lead the Engineering team responsible for technology that supports Fulfillment operations at Medifast. This position will be responsible for all systems that run Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Logistics, Labor Management and will be primary driver of profitability in operations. This individual will be execution and results focused with emphasis on software development, domain expertise, systems architecture, systems integration, quality assurance, and ability to work collaboratively with other teams. This position will have bottom-line responsibility for all aspects of systems selection/design/delivery/maintenance/support.

This position will have bottom-line responsibility for all aspects of systems selection/design/delivery/maintenance/support.

Knowledge, Education, Skills & Abilities

• Bachelor's degree in Science/Engineering/Technology preferred. Master's degree will be a plus.
• Deep understanding of Supply Chain and Fulfillment processes in Ecommerce/Consumer Goods environments
• 15+ years of experience in Technology. 5+ years leading Supply Chain Technology team in complex D2C environments.
• 10+ years’ experience implementing best-of-breed Warehouse Management Systems like Manhattan Associates, Highjump/Korber, JDA/Red Prairie. Experience with SaaS solutions will be a big plus.
• 7+ years’ experience with Warehouse Automation (WCS). Experience with Robotics will be a big plus.
• Sound knowledge of process and data modeling.
• 5+ years of hands-on experience in programming languages and frameworks like Go, Java, JavaScript, Stored Procs, XML/JSON. Cloud (AWS/GCP) experience will be a big plus.
• 5+ years of experience working with RDBMS like Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL. Knowledge of NoSQL databases like MongoDB will be a plus.
• Solid knowledge of distributed computing, micro-services architecture, and API design/development
• 5+ years of experience implementing high availability systems. Knowledge of Monitoring/Alerting tools will be a plus.
• Good Understanding of performance aspects in Application Design and Delivery
• Knowledge of Agile methodologies
• Technical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Strong Interpersonal skills with a high degree of professionalism in working collaboratively at all levels inside/outside the organization.
• Ability to prioritize and drive completion of key initiatives on-time and with high quality
• Demonstrated ability to maintain a positive, high-performance work environment that prioritizes customer-experience.
• Ability to be on-call 24/7 as a leader for any critical or high priority incidents impacting our business operations.
