We are a community living support agency that works with the Intellectually/Developmentally Disabled community here in Oregon. Some of our clients need part-time Direct Support Workers and some need full-time.

The work of a Direct Support Worker is directed by a plan of care developed by the Oregon Department of Human Services. The direct support worker follows the individual service plan for each individual.
The following are current clients that are looking for a Direct Support Worker. In your application please note any of the clients that you feel might be a good fit. If none of these are applicable to you, please still apply. New clients and families are brought on weekly. We are also offering a bonus for any workers that bring on a client with them.
Client 1:

21 year old male
- Looking for help from 12-5 on weekdays. Saturdays are available too
- He is nonverbal and loves going outdoors. He could use a worker that is patient and can help him when he becomes aggressive
Client 2:

12 year old boy
- Looking for help on weekdays from 3-12 hours depending on the day and on weekends as well if possible
- ASD/ADHD and could use someone with a sense of humor and experience with autism
- He has some aggressive and destructive habits mostly from when he becomes upset
Client 3:

10 year old boy
- Looking for help on weekdays in the afternoons after school
- OIS Training Required
- He is very active and could use some help with communication and emotional regulation
Client 4:

14 year old girl
- Looking for help on weekdays from 1-5 or 3-5 around their homeschooling schedule
- She needs someone that can share in her interests and activities and being firm but fair with her on responsibility and independence
Client 5:

5 year old boy
- Needing help on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays in the afternoon
- They can use someone that will help with outdoor activities and art projects
Position expectations are defined as the following and may include, but are not limited to, in-home supports and skills:

Cooking, cleaning, medication assistance, scheduling, attend medical appointments, shopping, transportation and more...
- Skill development and support is defined in the individual’s Individual service plan
- Documentation of progress notes with each shift
Qualifications and Education Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent
- Personal Support: 1 year (required)
- Transporting individuals, have a valid driver's license and vehicle insurance in compliance with the laws of the Department of Motor Vehicles. (Proof and copies)
- Be certified in CPR and First Aid by a recognized training agency within 90 calendar days of employment.
- Overall competency in working under pressure
- Experience in providing general care and support
- Knowledge of home care services
- Proficient in written communication
- Proficient in oral communication
- Be at least 18 years of age
- Understand requirements of maintaining confidentiality and safeguarding individual information.
- Be literate and capable of understanding written and oral orders.
- Be able to communicate with individuals, health care providers, case managers, and appropriate others.
- Be able to respond to emergency situations at all times services are being delivered.

Wages: 21 hour DOE
Fulltime available upon request
