Summary This position is responsible for managing all operational activities associated with Distributors and Wholesalers representing ~$6B in annual chargebacks and over $4B in sales for all Baxter business portfolios (Advanced Surgery, Hospital Products, Renal and the legacy Hill Rom businesses). This role leads a team of 15 exempt level employees who manage the chargeback process, new product launch set-up in the channel, pricing and price disputes, incentive payments and is accountable for minimizing the financial risk of $20M-$30M in open A/R annually. The position will work with the Trade team in building relationships with the Channel Partners to improve processes for all parties leading to efficiencies and better financial outcomes.

Additionally, the position must identify and implement best practices across business portfolios to increase efficiencies, focusing on operational excellence and complying with all business and legal requirements. Also responsible for integrating different business portfolios, strategies and key initiatives into the organization and measuring the achievement of goals resulting from either business acquisitions or functional consolidations. Key input in developing channel strategies and creating and executing agreements that align with strategic initiatives in order to optimize business results.

Responsibilities

Relationship management at all levels and across functions including; Sales, Marketing, Finance, Legal, IT, other Commercial Operations groups within all business portfolios as well as external customers(wholesalers and distributors).

  • Drive process innovation to develop creative solutions, efficiencies and achieve results to enhance the customer experience.
  • Demonstrate compliance with internal processes and procedures.
  • Manage A/R risk and assist in the development and execution of action plans for resolution.
  • Ensure proper controls are in place to minimize risk to the business
  • Lead efforts to optimize trading partner relationships and maximize operational efficiencies.
  • Establish and implement process and performance measures for the team.
  • Manage multiple, complex projects with broad scope simultaneously both within and outside functional area.
  • Act as a change agent both in embracing change and challenging the status quo among immediate team, peer group and senior leaders.
  • Lead and coordinate all activities of the Channel Operations team. Drive continuous process improvements and organizational efficiencies.
  • Ensure the continuous development and training of staff towards achieving individual and team objectives.

We understand compensation is an important factor as you consider the next step in your career. At Baxter, we are committed to equitable pay for all our employees, and we strive to be more transparent with our pay practices. To that end, this position has a salary range of $168,000 to $252,0000 and also includes an annual incentive bonus and equity target (strike if not applicable). The above range represents the expected salary range for this position. The actual salary may vary based upon several factors including, but not limited to, relevant skills/experience, time in role, business line, and geographic/office location.
