What You’ll Do
Digital Media Strategy – 35%
  • Partner with Business Solutions teams to craft high level strategy and role of digital; work alongside digital team to ensure recommendations map back to strategy
  • Guide team to leverage Horizon Media’s suite of planning, evaluation and buying tools for application/analysis into competitive landscape, target digital consumption support, plan development and reporting
  • Monitor trends, tools, opportunities and applications within digital environments, and appropriately apply that knowledge to campaign strategy and client goals
  • Work with Supervisor to oversee junior team members and manage expectations with digital leadership in the creation of media specific documents such as media plans, objectives and strategies decks, and other related functions
  • Lead brainstorms to kick off plan and consideration set development with the intention of bringing great ideas to life
Relationship Management – 25%
  • Digital team representative for interdepartmental meetings (i.e. Business Solutions, Operations, Analytics, Social Marketplace/Programmatic), building trust and accountability
  • Act as primary resource for AD and junior team members when faced with challenges navigating conversations with internal and external partners and clients
  • Primary digital lead working closely with clients to ensure prioritization of projects, understanding of goals and media that aligns with objectives to drive client business
  • Have foresight and understanding of projects to maintain and adjust timing of deliverables for team at large, communicating changes to managers and leadership
  • Apply knowledge of current/previous clients’ specific business and relationships within the industry to enhance plan negotiations and opportunities
Team Management and Delegation – 25%
  • Assist in creating growth plans for junior team members and providing clear career goals for the AD
  • Act as a resource for performance reviews, coaching to maximize success, identifying training needs for improved performance, setting goals for career development and ensuring actions are taken
  • Provide education and training on best practices, media principals, and industry at large
  • Participate in interview process for manager level roles
  • Guide team in setting goals and project tasks and timelines, ensuring team members have challenging, level-appropriate projects and opportunities to learn new skills, contributing to overall team success
  • Responsible for leaning into Horizon Media initiatives while encouraging junior team members to participate and engage within the larger Digital community
Agency Stewardship – 10%
  • Responsible for upholding a sense of community and knowledge sharing within the Horizon Media digital department and across the agency
  • Craft high-level POVs on industry trends and updates to share across both clients and team members
  • Ensure the account is upholding the Horizon brand ethos that business is personal, creating a deep sense of team culture
  • Responsible for financial tracking of partner investments, as part of the larger Horizon umbrella
  • Lead and participate in cross-departmental projects for the betterment and growth of the agency
Reporting & Analysis – 5%
  • Act as escalation point for junior team members as they work through optimization strategies, proactively communicating challenges and opportunities across display, mobile, social and video
  • Encouraging junior team members to draw thoughtful, data-based conclusions that illustrates the ‘why’ behind performance, and maps back to digital strategy
  • Collaborate with Business Solutions and Analytics team to establish measurement plans and learning agendas
  • Help AD coach junior team members on impactful insight writing that is routed in data and action but pulls in larger digital strategy and provide final sign off

Preferred Skills & Experience
  • 6+ years of experience developing strategic media recommendations and stewarding digital media account projects, acting as a client contact
  • Strong familiarity with marketing principles, analytics and concepts
  • Expert in negotiating and constructing digital media plans, with understanding of planning, buying and activation
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills; able to confidently present and “sell through” ideas both internally and to Clients
  • Strong experience and principles navigating cross-department relationships
  • Leadership and supervisory experience in terms of developing media professionals, including strategic and people management sills

Salary Range: $2,788.46 to $3,269.23 a week. A successful applicant’s actual weekly or hourly rate may vary based upon, but not limited to, skill sets, experience and training, licensure/certifications, and equity.
