The Role:

As a Director of Platform Services at BeyondTrust, you will use your technical and leadership expertise to bring to market a highly scalable, reliable, available, and secure multi-tenant SaaS platform. You will be responsible for the architecture and implementation of platform services working collaboratively with product managers, product owners, architects, development managers, and other engineering leaders. You will also be responsible for mentoring teams in embracing cloud technologies, rapidly scaling teams, and advocating for engineering excellence.

What You'll Do:

• Responsible for the full lifecycle of services that are always on; other products depend on services your teams develop and manage.
• Enable teams to be self-sufficient and foster a culture of ownership.
• Aid in architecture decisions for the platform and supporting infrastructure across services, data, pipelines, and deployment.
• Deliver and collaborate on platform roadmaps with product management and cross-functional operations and compliance teams.
• Drive clear deliverables, roles, and responsibilities across teams.
• Champion learning organization principles.
• Mentor, coach, and scale leaders.
• Create a culture of collaboration between globally distributed teams.

What You'll Bring:

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, Computer Science, or related fields.
• 10+ years of software development experience.
• 5+ years of experience in delivering multi-tenant SaaS products.
• Experience in building or migrating products to distributed event-based systems using cloud-native technologies.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and knowledge of cloud designs.
• Clear understanding of DORA metrics, how to track them, and why they are important.
• Clear understanding of Agile methodologies and strong track record of product delivery.
• Excellent time management, communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
• Prior experience with Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery strategies.

Nice To Have:

• Experience in building Security solutions.
• Experience with observability and telemetry platforms such as DataDog and Sentry.
• Experience in building cloud-native streaming, analytics, and data products at scale.
• Experience in communicating technical concepts to non-technical audiences and vice versa.
• Strong spoken and written communication skills
• Experience with creative problem-solving in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment
