Director, Foreclosure

POSITION TITLE: Foreclosure Director

Position Summary:

The Foreclosure Director is responsible for all aspects of default/pre-foreclosure and foreclosure functions for the forward and reverse portfolios. This position will oversee timely notice of defaults, foreclosure referrals, timeline management, foreclosure holds through post-sale functions. A strong knowledge of the foreclosure process is required to understand the full process, risks and potential issues that may arise and delay timely processes. This position will also be responsible for interfacing directly with clients an government agencies such as the GSEs and FHA. The Director will oversee a management team and large staff both onshore and offshore.

Job Functions and Responsibilities:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Examples below:

• Primary responsibility includes leading team to perform foreclosure functions to meet department, client and investor goals
• Knowledge of mortgage banking- specifically default servicing (foreclosure, bankruptcy, loss mitigation)
• Work and coordinate daily with the Bankruptcy, Loss Mitigation, Litigation and Record Services department to ensure the foreclosure process is optimized and compliant
• Oversight of workflow tools and exception reporting to identify process inefficiencies or risks as they relate to the default and foreclosure areas
• Manage team of multiple managers and supervisors both onshore and offshore
• Work in conjunction with other departments and third parties to execute requests and create process efficiencies
• Possess a strong knowledge of FHA guidelines and curtailment risks
• Data analysis, compilation of client presentations and oversight reporting
• Work direction with Operational Control group to identify and remediate root cause issues
• Develop new and improved proesses to optimize work production
• Commitment to compliance oversight
• Coach and develop management team

Key Result Areas:

• Aggressive approach to managing FHA curtailable events
• Develop measurable/auditable KPIs for the foreclosure team to strive for best in class performance
• Ensure proper communication with team, clients and investors on key results and potential risks

Qualifications:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must have the following education and/or experience:

• Bachelor degree strongly preferred or 7+ years of mortgage rfelated experience in foreclosure and/or bankruptcy
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a leadership position

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
• Strong knowledge of the foreclosure process, bankruptcy and mortgage related documents

• Flexible in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities
• Analytical problem solving and ability to identify root cause issues
• Strong communication skills, including verbal written and listening skills
• Excellent interpersonal skills and strong relationship building skills
• Process improvement and results driven
• Strong working knowledge of mortgage default system including MSP, LoanSphere and investor systems
• Experience in multiple mortgage servicing divisions
• Knowledge of reverse mortgage requirements a plus

Training / Licensing Requirements:

• Must pass the Company’s Background Screening process prior to beginning employment. Additionally, as a condition of employment, you may be required to pass client-specific background check requirements or Federal/State licensing requirements, if applicable.
