Through a robust thought leadership program we've put Flexport in front of decision makers and influencers as well as mainstream America via features in Forbes, Fast Company, Mad Money, New York Times, and the All In Podcast to name a few.
Now it's time to deepen that story with a better understanding of how Flexport will change the game. We're seeking a Director, Benefits Strategy & Operations to partner with the VP, Total Rewards to develop, implement and keep relevant - a compelling, cost effective and competitive global benefits strategy for a hybrid work from home/office employee base.
You will:
Drive the strategic design and execution of Flexport's global employee benefits programs (health and welfare programs (including wellness program strategy) and retirement programs) in line with business needs and values. Provide flexibility and local customization to account for cultural, legal and market differences
Manage the US Benefits Committee accountable for the management of the Company 401K plan. Oversee all compliance activities for the 401K plan (including the annual audit of the plan)
Oversee all benefit program events including preparation for and execution of the annual open enrollment cycle in the US.. Ensure participation in market surveys, focus group efforts, etc. to drive the development and execution of cost effective benefits programs to meet employee needs in all country locations where we have scale
Partner with the VP, Total Rewards to develop, implement and keep relevant - a compelling, cost effective and competitive global benefits strategy for a hybrid work from home/office employee base
Manage and develop a team of benefits professionals - accountable for the day to day management and administration of Company benefits programs to ensure consistency and adoption of best practices
Oversee projects focusing on the key benefits initiatives such as benefits strategy redesign and implementation, local market benchmarking and monitoring the overall effectiveness and cost of global benefits programs
Collaborate with a high level of influence across functional leadership groups to ensure benefit plans and policies are developed and communicated effectively. Encourage innovative solutions and non-siloed thinking across functional areas
Evaluate market dynamics and new business-driven requirements that require a review of current programs and or strategy
Function as a member of the Total Rewards leadership team (along with the Director of Sales Incentive Plans and Director of Compensation) to present one cohesive compensation, benefits and reward strategy for the the Company
You should have:
10 + years of broad benefits experience (health and welfare and retirement programs) with progressively increasing responsibility and complexity in a fast paced environment with a preference for experience in the technology sector
Experience in leading global or large region benefits initiatives and the ability to scale your thinking and expertise to support a fast paced rapidly growing enterprise
Proven managerial experience with the capability of developing and motivating staff and ensuring goals and expectations are clearly communicated
Demonstrated professional business acumen, internal and external stakeholder collaboration and relationship building that translates short and long-term strategy into actionable and measurable plans
Strong quantitative skills to model various benefits costing scenarios leading to senior management recommendations
Demonstrated experience of successfully executing against tight deadlines and proactive issue resolution
