Director, Global People Function Capabilities

Reporting directly to the Global Vice President, Human Resources, the Director, Global People Function Capabilities role is to support the development and growth of the people in the function, aligned to the strategy of the functional LT. To do this in the new networked model, the Director, Global People Function Capabilities will lead a plan that supports the integrated capability model, including functional, enterprise and people/culture. They will define the critical functional capabilities and skills needed and work with the L+D team to determine learning pathways. The Director, Global People Function Capabilities will continue to play a critical role in connecting with their peers at an OU and Enterprise level to learn together, provide governance and shape the direction for future capability efforts.

Key Expectations:

Strategic Functional Leadership

  • Define Functional Capabilities & Skills for the Global People Function
  • Identify & lead functional capability network across OUs
  • Assists with ABP process (budget, milestones, KPIs)

Network Leadership

  • Active participation in Capability Council and routines
  • Participates on Enterprise Capability Squad
  • Imports and exports best practices across functions/geographies for the betterment of the organization
  • Consistently connects with their HR Business Partner

Cultural Role Model

  • Role models capability building behaviors themself
  • Builds a talent pool / succession plan for their role through developing others
  • Engages with the broader capability community
  • Teaches and develops others

In this role you will deliver and participate in the following:

  • A set of global capabilities for all function associates that positions the function to win and encourages internal growth and development
  • Use data, analytics and external benchmarks to inform strategy and decision-making, while also staying connected to business realities
  • Drive the change to create a learning culture by designing and leading the development of tailored learning programs in partnership with the global Learning COE
    • Orchestrating curriculum development and delivery platforms
    • Optimizing user experience, roll-out, support & adaptation of the program.
    • advise stakeholders on best practices in adult learning such as social & peer learning, gamification of learning, informal learning, and real-time performance support.
  • Lead the capability communities of practice to deliver across the Function
  • Consult and contribute across the TCCC Learning organization to design, develop, and test learning content
  • Strengthen the learning mindset in the organization, educating the managers on learning & capability building.
  • Lead Capability and Development business planning aligned to the global ABP calendar and milestones
  • Actively participate and contribute to the “shared bets” of the Enterprise Capability Squad
  • Direct functional onboarding programs and plans connected to larger onboarding initiatives
  • Champion a culture of learning, experimentation and knowledge sharing across the function.

Work To Be Done:

  • Capability development aligned to the strategy and function head

  • Build a robust plan to address and implement key opportunities in marketing capability
  • Organize and lead system resources to deploy local market programs and support deployment of global efforts
  • Drive culture and change management associated
  • Partner with HR Business partner

Experience Needed:

  • Ideally 10+ years’ experience in Corporate and Operating Unit environment
  • Prior Capability experience, function or HR
  • Leading and managing a diverse range of stakeholders
  • Delivering solutions that achieve business results
  • Adept at facilitating large groups and aligning on key agreements
