GRAIL is looking for a Director, IT focused on Enterprise Applications and IT Business Operations. This individual should be a seasoned professional with a strong technical background in IT Enterprise Applications, engagement with business stakeholders at all levels including the executive level, requirements-centric selection and implementation and operations of enterprise applications, management of suppliers and external partners to achieve successful business outcomes, and demonstrated success leading technical teams to successful outcomes while developing talent and achieving high levels of team member satisfaction. Depending on the experience and capabilities of the candidate, this position may be up leveled to Sr. Director.

You Will

  • Lead Enterprise Application Development and Operations spanning major enterprise systems such as ERP/P2P, CRM, HRIS, and QMS.
  • Drive a requirements-centric application selection, design, implementation and extension process to achieve key business outcomes.
  • Partner with key stakeholders in the business to understand their business processes, challenges, needs to deliver compelling solutions enabling prioritized outcomes and team efficiency.
  • Implement new projects and capability extensions reliably within scope, schedule, budget, quality, security and compliance commitments.
  • Lead the operation of applications within defined SLAs conformant to applicable standards, (e.g. SOX, ISO27001, GXP, FDA CFR Part 21), while achieving defined SLAs while monitoring and reporting on defined KPIs.
  • Lead the IT Enterprise Application Engineering TeamSelect and lead IT Application Engineers and System Administrators to successfully deliver projects and operate systems.
  • Develop the team and individual members to extend their technical and non-technical knowledge and skills aligned to the needs of GRAIL and their personal development objectives.
  • Create and reinforce a customer service mindset focused on meeting the needs of internal stakeholders for robust technology solutions that make their jobs easier, not harder, ultimately serving the patient.
  • Build and maintain a diverse team that demonstrates personal and team accountability, and respect for each other, stakeholders, customers and patients.
  • Partner with additional development teams that don’t directly report to you to successfully deliver overall results.
  • Lead IT Business OperationsDepartment Strategy definition, roadmap creation and updates with stakeholder engagement, annual Goals and OKR definition and tracking, KPI creation, dashboard tracking and reporting IT Budget and Spend Management.
  • Thought leadership and direction for IT outsourcing, procurement, and supply chain optimization IT Managed Service engagement oversight potentially including Help Desk services, SaaS application administration, IT device procurement.

Your Background Should Include

  • 4-year degree, or equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Applications, MIS or equivalent, graduate degree preferred.
  • 15+ years experience developing enterprise software solutions in challenging business environments (13 years with MS/MA, 10 years with PhD).
  • 10 years experience managing people and teams 5 years in a leadership role within an IT organization.
  • Demonstrated high emotional intelligence, humility, and effective communication skills with all levels of the organization including the C-suite.
  • Demonstrated technical domain knowledge in the Enterprise Application space, the development lifecycle, and production software operations.
  • Experience with SOX, ITGC, HIPAA, ISO 27001, GXP and other regulatory frameworks.
  • Knowledge and expertise in cyber security, security frameworks, certifications and information security best practices, monitoring, and reporting.
  • Experience developing, deploying, and operating enterprise ERP, CRM, HRIS, and QMS systems.
  • Life Sciences experience is a plus.
The estimated, full-time, annual base pay scale for this position is $176,000 - $294,000. Actual base pay will consider skills, experience, and location.

Based on the role, colleagues may be eligible to participate in an annual bonus plan tied to company and individual performance, or an incentive plan. We also offer a long-term incentive plan to align company and colleague success over time.
