This is a unique leadership opportunity to serve as a thought partner and trusted senior advisor across the business. We're seeking a subject matter expert who will employ evidence-based best practices and research to drive results in a dynamic and evolving landscape. This is a pivotal position at Lyft, leading the strategic approach, design and deployment of an organization-wide Talent Management processes; this is a hands-on position which blends implementation of strategy with delivery and operational excellence.
The ideal leader has experience collaborating with cross-functional partners to create and execute L+D strategies from early talent to Director and above levels. This necessitates a high degree of communication capacity, strong facilitation skills and ability to design and put in place collaborative processes with multiple stakeholders to bring about change. Reporting into the Senior Director, Team Member Experience, you will manage a talented, high performing team of L+D professionals.
- Own talent management lifecycle processes – including onboarding, goal setting, competencies, critical skills, career pathing, and development, for new and existing employees (inclusive of individual contributors and people managers)
- Develop programs focused on coaching and development, to support growth among our leadership population
- Partner closely with Team Member Experience team to ensure L&D topics are amplified and leveraged
- Assess individual, team and organizational learning needs, and oversee the development of impactful and scalable learning solutions (programmatic and non-programmatic)
- Partner with HR Business Partners, senior leaders, Chiefs of Staff and functional leaders to determine organizational gaps, and develop tactical and strategic solutions to drive leader and team member engagement
- Support the creation of standardized metrics and evaluation processes across all learning and org development programs to ensure a data driven approach when evaluating outcomes
- Continuously build business and market knowledge and work closely with subject-matter experts (SMEs) to enhance and refine our internal programs
- Provide leadership, coaching and oversight to L&D team members to scale Learning and Development initiatives across the organization
- 10+ yrs in People Teams/Human Resources/and or Business Leadership, Learning and Development and/or organizational development and human capital consulting.
- Experience with high growth company (Global experience is a plus)
- 7+ yrs experience working with senior executives in client-facing or consulting roles
- 5+ years in an L+D dedicated role
- 5+ years leading a team
- Demonstrated track record of development and execution of a holistic L+D strategy with impact driven results
- Demonstrated track record of success in a cross functional, highly matrixed environment.
- Flexible and adaptable team member who can work with Tech, Business and Operations leaders; can quickly assess how to meet the business where they are with the goal to influence better outcomes and decision making.
- Expert level of data and analytical competency, including drawing meaningful insights from data to create strategy, narrative and to operationalize solutions.
- Fluency in reporting monthly, quarterly, impact metrics/ key performance indicators.
- Subject matter expert on innovative next generation practices, programs and L&D marketplace insights.

Starting in September 2023, this role will be in-office on a hybrid schedule — Team Members will be expected to work in the office 3 days per week on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays. Additionally, hybrid roles have the flexibility to work from anywhere for up to 4 weeks per year.
The expected range of pay for this position in the US is $190,440 - $230,000. Salary ranges are dependent on a variety of factors, including qualifications, experience and geographic location. Range is not inclusive of potential equity offering, bonus or benefits.
