The BOLD's Legal Team is looking for a Director, Legal Product Compliance & Privacy. This team manages the company's in-house legal matters. This includes management, negotiations and review of commercial agreements, management of privacy, risks, and compliance matters, support the business teams on their legal needs, and is in charge of the company's intellectual property portfolio and all enforcement related matters. Additionally, the team manages all corporate governance matters, locally and internationally, support in all M&A activities, and also provide legal support to the operations team, including on areas of accounting, finance, payments, tax, technology, facilities, and HR.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
The Director, Legal Product Compliance & Privacy will leverage its deep understanding and experience in compliance to effectively lead and manage the company's global compliance function. This person will be responsible for advising the company on a wide-range of compliance matters, overseeing the design, implementation, and operation of global compliance programs, driving compliance goal setting and performance, aligning and coordinating priorities and activities, and balancing business opportunities with associated legal and compliance risks in a complex and fast-evolving regulatory environment. This position reports to the VP of Legal and this role requires a demonstrated ability to work with minimal supervision, assess risk, and provide guidance to achieve outcomes compliant with applicable regulations and industry best practices.
This position will entail managing a group of international in-house legal team members and providing oversight and direction. The Director will be responsible for developing and meeting team goals, as well as creating and maintaining procedures and policies to encourage team performance, and delegate responsibilities and expect accountability and regular feedback. This position will also be in charge of maintain the team's work schedules including assignments, training, vacations, paid time off, and effectively allocate resources to accomplish the work and meet productivity and quality goals. Furthermore, the Director will meet with the team on a regular basis, appropriately communicate organization information through one-on-one or team meetings, through email, instant messaging, and regular interpersonal communication. As a Director, the candidate will work as part of a team of problem solvers, helping solve complex business issues from strategy to execution.
