The Corporate Communications Director will be responsible for enhancing Big Fish Games’ corporate brand presence and reputation, inspiring internal and external audiences alike. Reporting to the Executive VP - Head of Brand, Communications & Corporate Affairs at Pixel United with a dotted reporting line to the VP, People & Culture of Big Fish Games, this role will be fully integrated within and dedicated to the Big Fish organization with a focus on internal, external, and executive communications.
A well-rounded and seasoned communications professional, you will be excited by the opportunity to devise and implement holistic internal and external communication strategies from scratch, including ESG initiatives. Comfortable spearheading a lean but highly effective team - overseeing an external PR agency and potentially one future direct report - you will be an effective, inspiring, and adaptable people manager, able to engage and partner with a wide-range of internal and external stakeholders.
As a trusted partner to the President of Big Fish Games and advisor to C-Suite executives, you will have solid experience briefing and coaching company spokespersons and preparing messages / presentations ahead of media appearances and/or conferences, as well as global town halls and other strategic internal events.
Responsible for the company’s global internal communications program, you have a proven track record in delivering successful change management projects, increasing employee engagement, and managing multiple projects, including internal events, within budget and to deadline. Internally, you will have a dotted reporting line to the VP of People & Culture on these areas and partner closely with the Senior Director, Brand at Big Fish as you execute internal and external communication activities across a range of digital channels and platforms.

Partner closely with VP - Head of Brand, Comms and Corporate Affairs at Pixel United to ensure Big Fish’s corporate brand and communication activities align with Pixel United and Aristocrat Group’s strategic priorities, best practices and policies.

Partner closely with the President of Big Fish and VP People & Culture to deliver an internal and external communication program aligned with the strategic goals and narrative of Big Fish Games

Manage Big Fish Games corporate B2B social media channels (i.e. LinkedIn) and collaborate with Big Fish Senior Director of Brand to maintain and enhance the company website and B2C social channels, leveraging these to share relevant corporate news as appropriate

Proactively seek and share content from across the organization to ensure timely flow of information. Partner with data and insights team to generate new stories / key messages

Form relationships with media outlets in the games industry and drive Big Fish PR and external comms strategy. Monitor press stories and maximize opportunities for positive PR

Partner with the People & Culture team to build Big Fish’s employer brand and support talent acquisition objectives

Deliver an effective external events program, ensuring Big Fish is appropriately represented at key industry conference, and develop a bench of senior company spokespeople to support delivery.

Report and continually improve KPIs across all relevant channels and projects

Engage regularly with MarComs leaders across Pixel United’s portfolio and Aristocrat Group to share Big Fish news stories, support the development of best practices and leverage combined expertise

10+ years experience managing corporate communications, social media, PR, events and internal communications gained in-house within a similar industry, ideally with a sound knowledge of the Gaming industry

Demonstrable experience devising and executing holistic internal and external communication strategies and narratives that measurably improve corporate reputation

Excellent all-round communications skills, written and verbal

Strong media and B2B partner relationships and history of managing (or working in) PR agencies

Highly proficient with social media and experienced with LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook and Instagram

Solid understanding of the principles of employer branding and engagement

Proven ability to lead communication efforts for change and crisis management projects, including handling sensitive, non-public company information

A champion of company culture who embodies its values and communicates these effectively to engage a wide range of stakeholders

Experience in marketing and events a plus

College degree in business, journalism, communications or related field
