Why we need you:

    • We are looking for an experienced Director of Facilities to oversee all strategic and tactical aspects of facilities and workplace services. Strategically, you will be responsible for forecasting space and future facilities requirements, negotiate with government entities for incentives, negotiate with developers, and plan budget for capital expenditures and operating expenses. Tactically, you will be responsible for managing a small team of facilities personnel, as well as vendors and contractors for construction build outs (TIs), day-to-day service and repairs, catering, security and preventive maintenance. This role will also manage a new factory site construction and other projects related to market entry.

What you will do:

    • Update and execute long-term facilities strategy
    • Lead Request for Proposal (RFP) process to select future facilities
    • Lead efforts to negotiate with States and Counties to obtain government incentives
    • Plan and oversee large construction and renovation projects and oversee all installations and refurbishments
    • Oversee and manage the maintenance of Wisk Facilities buildings, and related equipment, including the standard inspections and maintenance required for HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and building systems in multiple geographies
    • Structure and implement an effective and robust single platform security program (inclusive of hardware, server, cctv and alarm response)
    • Ensure security procedures are properly implemented
    • Strategic space planning to support future business needs
    • Manage activities and/or vendors associated with parking, building security, waste disposal, electric vehicle chargers, service contracts, catering, janitorial services, landscaping, etc.
    • Lead lease negotiations and renewals by working with internal management and Landlords/Property Management teams
    • Conduct and document regular facilities inspections and safety walks in conjunction with EHS
    • Work closely with the Environmental, Health & Safety team to support company compliance requirements
    • Manage a small facilities team in addition to external contractors

What you have done:

    • Bachelor’s degree
    • 10 years of facilities management experience with at least 3-5 years managing teams
    • Experience working with different stakeholders across the enterprise to meet company goals and objectives
    • Experience developing and managing significant budgets, including capital budget justifications
    • Excellent verbal, and written communication and presentation skills as you will be collaborating with diverse stakeholders, such as general contractors, project teams, city officials, architects, engineers and senior leadership
    • Experience conducting Request for Proposal (RFP) process and negotiations with States, Counties, Municipalities, and Landlords to select optimal locations for future facilities
    • Experience leading and overseeing large construction projects
    • Available to work more than the regular workweek, as needed, to perform assigned job duties, including weekends, evenings, early morning hours, and holidays
    • This position requires the candidate to work on-site to manage multiple projects, and travel as necessary to oversee remote facilities.
    • This position requires the candidate to oversee construction of a new factory at a location outside of the Bay Area, with a required relocation in the future to the new site.

Compensation and Benefits:

Job Type: Full-time
Pay Range the Company expects to pay: $162,459 - $248,246 per year - The starting base salary within this range for this role varies based on factors such as your geographical location, and your relevant job-related experience that is consistent with a business necessity.

We are located in Mountain View just a couple of hundred feet from Shoreline Lake and its surrounding walking/jogging trails.
