JOB SUMMARY: Reporting to the Chief Impact Officer, Big Brothers Big Sisters of Metro Atlanta (BBBSMA) is seeking a strategic and mission-driven Director of IT (Information Technologies) to join the agency at its headquarters located in Atlanta, Georgia. The Director of IT is a full-time, salaried, exempt position.
The Director of IT is a strategic leader with technical expertise who can discern how and when to use innovation to support the organization’s mission and goals. The Director will oversee all IT and Data functions, leading the team to ensure excellence in IT operations and implementation.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSBILITIES:
- Leads the organization’s Information Technology strategy as well as managing the day-to-day activities of the IT operations, including:

Managing local and wide area network systems, including network security
-
Maintenance and utilization of software applications
-
Managing software hardware maintenance and manages technology-based communications
- Providing user support
-
Supporting hardware maintenance and manages technology-based communication systems
-
Leads strategic thinking around how technology can support the implementation of the agency’s Strategic Plan and operations, including the planning for future hardware and software computer needs; evaluates technological advancements and recommends systems and vendors

Ensures the agency procures, maintains and trains teams on usage of technology tools that support the operations of each department

Leads the IT team to ensure their work supports the agency’s ability to fulfill its mission by innovating technology usage to create efficiencies for staff, program participants, and donors

Ensures the IT Team meets the agency’s Service Level Agreement (SLA) by consistently providing an exceptional level of service and support to agency staff and participants
-
Troubleshoots IT issues, mitigates risks, and projects future needs of the agency as they relate to IT support and tools
-
Ensure the agency has access to easy-to-consume data related to our impact, outcomes, programs, and participants through reports, dashboards and data analysis

Develops and implements policies and procedures for continuous improvement in system management and accountability

Maintains IT vendor relations

Develops budgets for annual IT expenditures, helps establish equipment depreciation schedules, and tracks equipment inventory
QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor’s degree required; degrees in computer information systems, business management or other related field preferred

Minimum of 5-7 years’ relevant experience working in IT, including at least 3-4 years leadership experience
-
At least 2 years’ demonstrated experience in data management, analysis, or communications
-
Fluency in Microsoft Office; including Word, Outlook, and Excel
-
Preferred experience and background in Salesforce
- Must complete a successful background and credit check prior to hire
WORK ENVIRONMENT:

Routine office environment. This position is located in our Atlanta office, with a flexible, hybrid work schedule. Employees are able to work with their supervisors to identify a schedule that works best for both them and the agency.

Standard BBBSMA office hours are Monday through Friday, 9:00 5:30 pm.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- This position is a primarily sedentary position and frequently requires the use of standard office equipment (telephone, computer, copier, and printer). This role must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time.

May occasionally require bending, reaching, and lifting up to 10 lbs.
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS:

Base salary is budgeted between $80,000 100,000 based on experience.
