What You'll Do
We're moving fast and you will be the first marketing leader to scale our impact. More than ever before, employers are looking for ways to build more equitable hiring practices. As the Director of Marketing, you will lead our B2B marketing efforts through content-led marketing programs that will help accelerate our growth and position us to be the category leader in a new and rapidly expanding market. You are a collaborative team player, an innovative thinker, and have a passion for creating more diverse, inclusive, and equitable workplaces.
You will set the strategy for, implement, and optimize marketing campaigns that reflect Mathison's core values and achieve our ambitious growth targets. Your goal is to generate new qualified leads for the sales team so that we can get more employers leveraging Mathison to increase their DEI hiring. You will increase our impact in the DEI space as measured by awareness and preference among potential customers. The ideal candidate is a forward-thinking, detail oriented, self-motivated team leader who is eager to take initiative and work collaboratively across the company. This role will report to the co-founder.
How You'll Do It
- Design, lead and execute on marketing campaigns, strategies, activities, and events that generate qualified leads and have a significant impact on achieving our sales goals through creating a pipeline of new customers
- Success will be measured by designing and executing a comprehensive brand communications in collaboration with the management and leadership team. You will be responsible for generating leads and contributing towards a sales quota
- Collaborate with our events team to design and execute virtual events that bring together thought leaders and educate our community while driving leads
- Develop messaging strategies and value propositions based on deep user insight gained from user research both quantitative and qualitative
- Leverage our bespoke content through effective SEO techniques to drive perception as a thought leader and authority in our category
- Define our content roadmap that influences brand perception and increases engagement. This could be developing content for sales aids, website, webinars, events, blog, SEO, press etc.
- Work closely with our PR agency partners and help design a cohesive PR and brand communications plan to drive media coverage that increases brand awareness with our target audience
- Build quarterly, yearly, and campaign-specific analytics reports that feature key learnings and recommendations to improve future content and strategy
- Be a team leader and help attract, hire and nurture extraordinary talent and build a team that drives impact
What you bring:
- 8+ years of B2B marketing experience working in or managing several marketing functions preferably at a high growth technology company
- Proven track record in designing, implementing and executing a category defining marketing communications strategy
- Ability to toggle between high level strategy and deep tactical work that delivers results
