About the opportunity

Homeward is looking for a Director of Mortgage Sales for our Partnerships Team. In this role, you will be responsible for delivering on revenue goals, developing KPIs, and driving productivity of Loan Officers and LO assistants. You will train the team on developing strong relationships with our Real Estate Teams Partners to drive referrals and deliver a stress free customer experience. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience leading a mortgage relationship based sales team, developing sales leaders and optimizing conversion across the sales funnel.

In this role, you will

  • Own forecasted goals for Mortgage Sales Team
  • Coach Loan Officers to build relationship with our Real Estate Teams Partners to win repeat business
  • Drive conversion of leads through building a best-in-class mortgage sales team
  • Refine sales processes to empower our LOs and LOAs in providing the best customer experience while also reaching our revenue targets
  • Build mortgage team aligned with homewards values through recruiting, training and coaching of LOs and LOAs
  • Work cross functionally with internal teams to achieve business goals

What you'll bring

  • 5+ years of experience building relationship based sales teams in the mortgage industry
  • 5+ years of people management experience, and have ideally managed managers
  • Proven ability to recruit, hire and train LO sales teams in a licensed, regulated environment
  • A track record of building great partner relationships with other parties in the real estate transaction
  • Ability to drive results and achieve metrics based goals (i.e. conversion rate and attach rate goals)
  • An educator's mindset towards training and building out the best in our mortgage sales team
  • Strong customer focus
  • A team player with the ability to take responsibility to drive things forward even when others may not

Pay and benefits

  • Compensation range: $200,000 - $250,000 + commission
  • Remote-first environment (our Headquarters are in Austin, TX, come visit!)
