Overview:
As the Director of Product Management, you will be responsible for developing and driving requirements for our SD-WAN and Firewall as a service product line. You will also work very closely with product managers across our broader team. The person in this role will be responsible for business goals and objectives, and an advocate for the overall customer experience of the product line.
Responsibilities:
- Handles a product line(s) (multiple products), responsible for growing the product line and PMs assigned to those products.
- Responsible for all PM activities including but not limited to roadmap, GTM, strategy, launches, and releases
- Oversees successful cross-functional collaboration by ensuring the completion of milestones by Engineering team and other internal partners (i.e., program management) ensuring the completed work aligns with roadmap for a product line(s).
- Collaborates with key stakeholders and program sponsors to develop product goals (e.g., performance, cost, timeline, customer schedules), discuss product feasibility, and facilitate cross-functional decision making for product lines.
- Develop business cases, go to market strategies, including working with reference design group to develop reference design offerings to provide a competitive product in the market.
- Develops, defines, and oversees the product's roadmap and manages as required to deliver the business outcomes
- Creates product vision and plans necessary for driving product initiatives further with clarity and consensus
- Works collaboratively with marketing & sales to develop marketing, lead generation, and sales strategies
- Conducts customer and market research that aids business understanding to develop current and future products
- Engages extensively with customers to gain firsthand insight and market feedback about the products
- Promotes the product by advocating for its value and benefits at executive briefings, marketing events, Customer forums etc.
- Collaborates with other product leads from cross functional team for roadmap alignment, creating profitable initiatives, and driving execution to deliver the results
Requirements:
- Strong desire to take ownership of the full product life cycle
- Design something new, innovative, and disruptive
- Strong domain expertise in managing SMB or enterprise products
- Demonstrable record of accomplishment of success and execution
- Willingness to travel to meet with customers to gather insight as well as provide recommendations to make the products successful globally
- Proven analytical skills to understand metrics and comfortable with data
- Strong organizational skills. Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects and deadlines
- Excellent communication skills.
- Must be comfortable with customers and internal audiences
- Prior experience in finance, or similar growth or product management roles in a high-growth
environment
- Ability to work collaboratively within and across department teams.
Education and Experience:
- Minimum 10+ years in product management or equivalent
- MBA strongly preferred
- Ideal candidates will have a degree in Engineering, Quantitative field, or equivalent degree
- Prior experience in Network or Mobile or Endpoint Security is a plus.
